I'd be interested 'how' all these people who so dislike this type of music, come across these videos? What's more interesting - i.e.freddpepper - some obviously listen all the way through. The music must have something that they enjoyed (to a certain extent) as they were curious enough to wait until the last notes before commenting. Great music, thanks for posting.

I've heard a lot of Parker, in and out of the Electro-Acoustic Ensemble, but never anything so quiet before.... delicate, tense, hypnotic. And it's great to watch the ensemble at work, hunched lovingly over their instruments and twiddling their dials. Cage and Stockhausen opened music into environmental interplay; this group is exploring the field.

FreddPepper, there are many understandings of what music is :) Some of them are challenging. If you are interested in gaining insight into musical concepts which contrast with popular understanding, I would suggest, in addition to Parker, looking into Arnold Schoenberg, John Cage, Pauline Oliveros, Karlheinz Stockhausen, or The Edition Wandleweiser for starters. Also, other figures which were also involved in the free jazz scene like Sun Ra, Albert Ayler, or Pharoah Sanders.

There are many who do not understand Free Jazz or Experimental music, but that is okay. You don't have to listen if you don't like it...

На седьмой минуте открывается - О, да вас тут, целая бригада, ребята! Формируется напряженное звуковое поле - пространство, тяжелое как вагон. Убогие лесные жители - смышленые мужички,отцепили от состава этот вагон, и катят его, теперь, по кривой ржавой ветке все дальше в лес. Хорошо бы, пусть в этом вагоне будут сплошь макароны, или мешки с мукой, или большие армейские банки говяжьей тушенки, шедро покрытые смазкой. Пусть, даже, ну, совсем анекдот, весь вагон будет забит ящиками с шоколадом, хотя мука или тушенка здесь предпочтительнее ... Вагон все легче бежит, набирается энергией лесных жителей ... Но наказание Господне неотвратимо - воровать грешно, в последствии оказывается, в вагоне были навалены в два ряда задние мосты к автомобилю МАЗ.
