The iPhone 16 pro has made it easier than ever to take advantage of Apple Pro Raw. Thanks for watching!

I’m a new follower, I was surprised the way you speak all the details and setting at the phone and in using Lightroom, thanks a lot . I’m a photographer and quality and size matters. The only thing I didn’t understand was the way to send all data, I tell my sisters to do so, because that way is big size, and location as well. So I have the 15 pro, so was different for what you show, but I getting closer, I always said to the, before you send it options and select all data.

The way this just answered why my iPhone photos were looking wonky during editing is a godsend. I literally didn’t think to double check the profile at all. Completely missed me 😂 THSNK YOU

Thanks for this great tutorial! I just got my iPhone 16 Pro and I know there is a lot that it can do if you know how to get the most out of it. Thanks again!

Thank you very much for the educational video! If i do change the format of the pictures to RAW format, will i be editing the actual RAW file if i use the lightroom app on the iphone? Or does this only work if i then upload the photo on my mac and edit using lightroom there?

Would you recommend I get the Pixel 9 pro or iPhone 16 pro as a secondary camera for when I don't have my DSLR? Battery life and the ability to edit photos on my phone are key. I watched your other video but couldn't decide which phone was better, I shoot RAW a lot. I also like astrophotography so which is better for that. Image quality is also important to me. I can get the Pixel 9 Pro for about £900 but I have the budget to buy the 16 pro max if it's better. Any suggestions?
@ASCENTxyzАй бұрын
Because you mention the 16 Pro Max: The 16 Pro has the same camera setup if you didn't know.
@connor_campbell828Ай бұрын
@@ASCENTxyzYeah I probably would go for the pro max if I get the iPhone because of the bigger battery and screen.

In my iPhone 16 pro max there are problems even after updated by apple authorised service centre- 1. Blurry camera photos 2. Dull display 3. Bad display touch response 4 . Poor network connectivity Apple service centre and apple support said that they didn’t find any hardware or software issue and they can’t help it. What to do now? I am very disappointed. What to do now ???😢

Hi Evan. Do you think the native iPhone camera app is best for raw photo capture?

after you had the pixel 9 pro and the iphone 16 pro, which one would you recommend to buy? regardless of the eco-system they offer or the OS itself
@connor_campbell828Ай бұрын
I've got the same question, I currently have a Pixel 8 Pro btw. I am leaning more towards the iPhone 16 pro max as its processor is twice as powerful as the pixel, there is noticeable shutter lag on the pixel which hasn't been the best experience on my pixel 8 pro, the video quality of the iPhone is superior, I think the battery on the iPhone is a bit better than the pixel judging by what other people have said, you can shoot in JPeg Lossy on iPhone which is basically a raw file but only 20MB instead of 70-100MB. I think the Pixel is a very good phone and has higher megapixel sensors than the selfie and telephoto camera of the iPhone but I think that I might go for the iPhone as I feel that the pixel and iPhone camera are on par but the rest of the phone I think the iPhone is better. Let me know your thoughts as I am still unsure but am thinking of getting the iPhone.

I feel like using the ProRAW Max option is a bit of a waste. Given that this is a quad bayer sensor, there's barely any additional detail being captured if you zoom in and pixel peep. You get a bigger image file with less aliasing but you also give up a bit of low light performance.
@IVMTABАй бұрын
100% agree
@BorderbeachАй бұрын
I dont know that much yet. What do you mean you give up lowlight performance? Very interesting to know. Thanks!

Great video! 👍 I wish iPhone hade a (Zero processing option) like the Halide app has now.. 😆
@tonygreenwoodN10Ай бұрын
I like Halide but Process Zero is a bit of a misnomer - it is minimal processing rather than no (zero) processing i.e it's Halide's (admittedly less intrusive) way of processing your image rather than Apple's. And, as Halide say in their Process Zero manual, you "sadly cannot take 48 megapixel photos with Process Zero".
@sarimnerАй бұрын
@ that is true. I personally think apples processing is way too hard as default and you can’t even adjust it. And all the HDR shit should be off be default I think it just make everything look worse. 🫤
@sarimnerАй бұрын
BTW! Have you done any teseting if the "prioritise faster shooting" option will mkae you images have wores images quality? i think it make the images quality wores but i havet really test it correcly and pixel peep the images after.. 🤓

10:25 I would recommend not using the Apple ProRAW profile because Apple’s processing is hot garbage and full of visual artifacts. Using Adobe Standard makes for a much more normal image and is way easier to edit.
