You should consider using dental alginate to copy the shape of your tush then use plaster to capture the negative and then make a silicone mold to apply the final tush shape to the razzo.

For next time: cast your butt (or whatever) in plaster (the way they do it for movies/etc., either with the use of alginate or silicone). Use the plaster copy to imprint on resin/razzo. You can spray the plaster copy with mold release and leave until resil/razzo cures - leaving you with a perfect imprint.

People did use to carve buttdentations into chairs for a long time! I think we just lost that because of industrialisation. The process of building a chair was automated and depersonalised, but the one of weaving fabrics was too, which made pillows easier to make and cheaper to put on chairs. That’s my guess at least ^^’ Also, Katelyn’s editing always brings me so much joy 😂

I know why you guys are so awesome, and it only took me like... a dozen videos. You guys embody the "improv" concept of "yes, and...". You always build off of each other instead of contradicting. I figured it out as you were fit testing the stools once they were done. The best part is that it comes so natural that it's obvious that's how you tend to be off camera as well as on. The silicone would just make a replica of their butts, to make the stool they need a "hole" that fits their butts perfectly. If they used silicone they would have to make two molds so it would be a lot more work.

Fun fact! Making the terrazzo bits out of the sheets of Razzo is a similar technique to make sprinkles, but with thin sheets of royal icing! Maybe there’s a world in which you guys make a look alike of some of your projects but with food?!

if you ever want to do a negative space casting like this again, try getting some casting sand, press the shape into it ( aka, sit on it) then cast with plaster of paris to make the positive. you can then make the material you want the item made of, and with either some mold release, or some other sealant coating, thinly coat the plaster part, and set it in the resin or other liquid material, and you can leave it in place till the surface sets enough to maintain the shape. you wont have to risk it self leveling and losing the shape.

When ever I feel lower back pain (maybe once per month if even that; I recommend regular exercise, running, stretching to prevent it) I do the "Supine Twist" on both sides a few times which always takes the pain away. The spine should pop a few times. Make sure your knee hits the floor. If your spine doesn't pop for some reason, you're too stiff, relax your body, make it limp while doing it. Hope it helps.
