To be fair, Bob always says that he doesn't want people to copy what he does, he wants them to use his paintings as a guide for their own world. So, honestly Bob would be proud because this is the very essence of what he wanted to teach people to do. Cheers Jazza :)

I really think the main difference was in the contrast. Bob Ross always tended to use high contrast which made his paintings very vibrant. His earliest works on TV were sometimes bordering on the uncanny due to that (too strong too much all over).

We had a surprise Bob Ross party for my 15 daughter during lockdown at our house. We all wore wigs, shirts and fake mustaches and painted along with an episode. It became a tradition to watch as a family when it was on tv on Thursday nights here in the UK, obv couldn't have a regular celebration or go out so we came up with this idea it was so much fun!

The bob ross videos have always been among my favourite of yours and this is a spectacular addition. The colour palette of the first one is pretty different, but i actually LOVE the vibe that it gives. It feels like a weird rainy day in like...fantasy australia or something. Like a suspicious oasis in the desert. I adore it. 10/10 work from the team for finding the bob ross vids with just the most hilariously unhelpful audio 😂

Not gonna lie, these challenges ought be a regular feature cuz it's interesting seeing how you as a person and artist gets conveyed onto the canvas in how you make certain compositional choices. The blindfolded one where you just had an absolute fever dream on page has been one of my favourite vids, I actually LOVE the piece you made there.

Honestly, I love these videos precisely because of how different the paintings always end up being. Whenever I watch Bob Ross, it feels like he's just trying to show us the technique and isn't specific because he wanted to encourage people to do things their own way. It just always felt like he explicitly didn't want us to just do the same painting as him and be creative with it and this just feels so in the spirit of what he was going for.

Love the bob ross challanges! The fire one is my fave. Heres a tough one. You have 10 minutes to study the final product of a bob ross painting and then without the tutorial you have to try and recreate it from memory.

I'm glad to see a return of the Bob Ross challenge. They were a couple of my favorite videos, and I feel like this is just unlimited content considering how many Bob Ross videos you could play, but I suppose you would eventually run out of interesting challenge ideas. I like it when the challenge is a bit challenging but still doable. The blindfolded and 2x speed ones were a little too painful for me 😂

I’d watch jazza do a bob ross every week. There both such amazing artists. So simple but effective watching jazza replicate the greatest painter of all time. I’d love too see how close to perfect jazza could get replicating a bob ross if he actually just painted along with him while watching. And then had his staff grade it on a 1-10 scale or something

Wig is perfect 👌💂♂️ In a first painting I like gloomy mood with beautiful sky and water, second is my favorite(it's like a winter with 0 degrees Celsius, but the Bob's original is like -25 and I hate -25, but your painting more cosy and I like it Oo), and third is pretty close to original! It surprising that chill Bob painted something like inferno in original. 0_o The last sentence in the video made me overthink my life XD

This makes me want someone to make Bob Ross style tutorials that can be followed by watching or just by listening along as they guide you. Adding audio guides like which corner or which ground they’re painting in, and what sort of tone they’re trying to create so you can have a better understanding even just listening without watching

Seems like a really great excercise to learn composition. Like everything else he does, Bob just does it because he's incredibly comfortable with his own compositional choices, so having that firm understanding of your own style will turn what seems like random direction into exactly what you see in your mind when you hear his voice.
