--------
Famed boxer Evander Holyfield recently discussed the long-lasting effects of that bout. Despite the pain, Holyfield lasted the full 12 rounds, an achievement he takes pride in. Following the match, he suffered a heart condition that was initially associated with human growth hormone use, but Holyfield maintains the diagnosis was due to a morphine overdose.
Although the Nevada State Athletic Commission connected the morphine overdose to HGH, Holyfield asserted that he was a clean athlete and it was simply a misinterpretation. The retired fighter emphatically denied any false healing by a preacher named Benny Hinn and a subsequent $265,000 donation, describing instead an offering made prior to the supposed "healing." Holyfield, proud to be a Christian boxer, emphasized his belief in God, crediting his faith for his professional success despite trials.

I will tell you all about it real quick, there was revival, which was set to last all weekend, people coming from all over the world to attend church services. I was 19 years old, I was working there over the weekend through a temp agency, trying to make some extra money setting up, cleaning up, working in the kitchen etc. There were beautiful women from all over the world, I was 19 and full of hormones, I was lusting in my mind after all them, although I never spoke a word out loud, or acted sexually outward in any manner, my thoughts were in that space. The last day of the revival after we cleaned up, there was plenty of food leftover, so us workers after cleaning up, all of us sat down to eat together. I was then that I realized that the people I had been working alongside, many were members of his church, and not temp workers as I was. During our conversation a few shared with me what brought them to Christ. Some of these stories were unbelievable. Especially coming from these beautiful well put together, happy looking people, you couldn't believe the people they were , and the things they did in their past before they came to Christ. They asked if they could pray for me, which I declined because I thought I was too cool back then for that. They started praying for me anyway. All of a sudden I had this feeling of shame and embarrassment wash over me. I had a moment of clarity like I have never experienced, or had since then, It was like I could see the entire universe for a brief moment. I could here this voice say how could you reduce my creation down to sex, they are so much more. It felt like my thoughts had been put on public display for everyone to see. I became overwhelmed with emotion, and starting bawling like a baby. My cousin who was also working with there with me that day, was in shock, he had never seen me display that much emotion in my life, especially publicly. After a few minutes I was back to myself, but I never had that feeling again. When we got home my cousin immediately told everyone. My grandmother, she said that's what it feels like when the holy spirit touches you.

@@dariusp422 he wasnt disputing the steroid use by pointing out that Lee Haney helped Holyfield gain. Lee Haney training Holyfield is the smoking gun linkage of Holyfield and steroids. Lee Haney had a magnificent physique and Holyfield's grew to astonishingly similar proportions as Haney's once they started training together. Haney was known to supplement with testosterone, HGH, and Deca Durabolin + D-bol combo. It makes perfect sense that Evander took a VERY similar combo considering the effect Deca and test having a tremendous effect on red blood cell production, which is a key component to improved endurance.

Dude, Holyfield wasn't a steroid user. Holyfield had to cut a lot of weight to get down to Cruiserweight. He was naturally a heavyweight despite being smaller than some guys. The most he weighed was 218 in his late 30's. That's only a 10 pound difference, and you also have to take into account that he purposely put that extra weight on to fight against Tyson, and Lennox by lifting weights, and training his butt off. He always had the same physique. You act like adding 10 pounds of muscle is impossible to achieve without steroids. I have put on 30 pounds of muscle naturally several times in my life let alone 10 pounds of muscle. It takes time, and that's why he bulked up over the course of 10 years slowly. He also had fights where he was as low as 208 at heavyweight even in his late 30's as well. That's an extremely minor weight fluxuation that is much more consistent with water retention than any growth hormone, or testosterone use.

It is true that the hospitals said he was over pumped with fluids that led to the misdiagnosis of the hole in his heart. It's also true that Drs. Homansky & Goodman said that the issues were consistent with HGH. It's also true that Holyfield was the most tested athlete in history at that point. Before the Tyson fight, bc of a) his prior diagnosis b) the 3rd Bowe fight where Holyfield looked like he couldn't breathe and was going to die and c)Tyson being viscous and ferocious they sent him to Mayo Clinic and underwent thrnmost comprehensive athletic testing in history. No PED use was discovered. It's also true ( believe) that no test for HGH was in existence, and with the whole Evan Fields thing later on, it only makes sense. But anabolic steroids, I feel he definitely would've been pinched bc it was way too early for him being on that Lance Armstrong tip having his blood recycled out and all that super high tech stuff that allowed him to pass all those tests.

Agreed… but putting on that much muscle and keeping your speed and stamina is not natural. Humans genetically don’t work that way.

His meta communication told the truth. Just look at his face and eyes when he was talking about hgh. Of course he was on that. Putting on 30-40 pounds of muscle at 25 is not possible if you had already been training for 15 years. He was 178 pounds in 1984 and 208 against Foreman in 91'

That's exactly what I was thinking, the look on his face when asked about Steroids was like someone had farted in his face, I remember how ripped and developed he looked, you don't get that way by amino acid tablets alone at 40 years old lol

Could you clarify when he put on "30 or 40 pounds of muscle"? By the time he was cruiserweight champion in 88 he was walking round between fights at 200lbs+ and killing himself to make weight.
@ernokirnyan9984
@ernokirnyan9984 Жыл бұрын
@@huntsman1234 By the olympics in 1984 in LA he had been training for 14 years already and competed at 178 pounds. He was a grown man that time. Four years later, in 1988, he fought Pinklon Thomas at 210 pounds. It is 32 pounds pure muscle. If you have never touched before any weight you might put on sygnificant muscle mass from stratch. But not from the age of 22 and being a super athlete already. He was a great warrior but his muscular and weight development can't have been natural.

@@ernokirnyan9984 He was 22 at the 1984 Olympics. A young man. It's completely normal for people to gain weight after 22. Not sure why Holyfield being an amateur for 14 years matters? Is his growth from being an 8 yr old boy to a grown man also HGH?

I have been through a lot of things but when I try to say it is God that did it. They try to find a logical explanation. Isn't it suspicious that they told Holly field that the previous diagnosis wasn't accurate . Instead of agreeing that something happened to him after their diagnosis?

That is not the reason people throw shade at Floyd. I don’t care to go over everything, but it is often believed that Jr. was a “mangers special” and would only take the risky fights when he got the upper hand in negotiations and the opponent had lost a step.
