Amy Lee has one of the most beautiful voices in the rock world, with the strength and clarity of tone that are rare in the genre. Evanescence took my household by storm back when My Immortal and Bring Me To Life came out, and we've never stopped listening to them since.

OK. I’m crying “uncle” ! I’ve got to finally admit reality and put Amy Lee up there with Grace Slick and Ann Wilson as my top female ROCK vocalists! (I have faves in others genres….pop, folk, metal, divas etc) I’m a kid of the 50’s and 60’s, so Evanescence broke when I was in my 50’s, so didn’t listen to them except what came across my path on the radio. This channel, (and certain patrons …I see you, Regina! 😘) have shown me that I was sleeping on some great music and a fantastic voice! 😁✌️

Loved their latest album, The Bitter Truth. Got lucky enough to see them on their latest tours. In 2022 in Madrid and months ago in 2024 in Rock in Rio and they filled the whole place. Love their sound so cohesive and Amy’s voice is just…WOW. I recommend Better Without You off that album.

“Lithium” and “Call Me When You’re Sober” are absolutely fire. Of course “My Immortal”. Amy Lee is a rock god. Another one “Bring Me to Life” was one of their first singles. She is paired with a guy on it because they didn’t think she was strong enough to lead a rock band. It’s still a great song, but it’s the studios fears about her vocals and that an audience wouldn’t be able to accept her. HA!

Just because a band forms does not mean they get recording contracts or are widely known right away. In 1994, music streaming online was not yet a "thing", so they probably worked their a$$es off perfecting their sound/image for all those years before they finally landed a contract.

There are singers who can belt but few do it was easily and crisply as Amy. Throughout for range, she always sounds like Amy Lee. You can learn to sing. But you can't learn sing like Amy. She was just born with a gift few have. And crazy hot too. It's just unfair to other female singers to be that pretty and have those pipes too.
