Anyone trying to take the high ground needs to chill the heck out. Its Destiny, this is not an elitist, high-skill game, it's practically an arcade game at this point. Just have fun. That said, I abused the heck out of this after I figured out how to repeat it easily on my PC to create the most OP machine gun EVER. Commemoration + aggressive shotgun intrinsic + Killing Tally + Reconstruction. The end result was a firing rate that goes up to max after the first shot due to the intrinsic shotgun perk, gets more damage after each kill thanks to killing tally, and reloads itself constantly so the killing tally is always on. Farmed MASTER lost sectors without any champ mods because I would just nuke unstoppable ogres fast enough. a close second was a shotgun trace rifle that just deleted any weaker ad in the game instantly like I was shooting a lightsaber beam. Easily the best Glitch ever with the runner-up being the 12-man fireteam glitch.

If i learned anything, bungie needs to make some crazy modifiers for activities. Melting enemies solo in GMs was fun, but there was also a risk of getting melted yourself. I've never done a GM because needing 5 mags to kill one red bar never seemed fun to me. But this felt balanced in a way. I didn't end up finishing it, but what i did try was still challenging.

The most fun weekend I've had for awhile. I was originally bummed out since I didn't earn an igneous before and wanted to get one really bad but everyone of course were using the glitched weapons. In the end I just embraced it (shoutout to shotgun austringer) and ended up getting flalwless and an adept igneous hammer lol. People shouldn't take games so seriously and loosen up a little sometimes.

I also think something to consider is bungie giving us some OP weapons in PVE from time to time to just have fun with it. I had the most fun this weekend that I have ever had in the game. Yes it broke the game a bit, but part of the fun of it was seeing what the AI would do when confronted with “the funny guns.” I want to have the amount of fun I had this weekend not just be a one off thing but for bungie to find a way to let us have that amount of fun without it breaking EVERYTHING as well.

I think its telling that for a lot of players, myself included, this weekend was the most fun it has been in a long time. This community takes things way to seriously in a game where we are essentially space liches shooting aliens, and we need more moments in the game like this where we just explore the fun opportunities that can happen. Im still waoting for Bungie to make a Mayhem week where they let you equip max Exotics and jlhave abilities supercharged to constantly refill.

Literally haven't picked up destiny in months and prob won't again till the next DLC but this glitch had me on and having a blast. Copped an adept igneous and went wild in quickplay I felt like I was 15 again

My biggest regret was not having the time to do more this weekend. It was awesome, and honestly? Would be kinda cool for Bungie to purposefully do some kind of powerhouse weekend where you're just ridiculously strong. I know sanctity of solos and all that, but it's a cool opportunity for people who just aren't as good to do some things they might not normally be able to, and us average and better can just cut loose.

Some people think the prestige of solo flawless dungeon/ trial flawless emblem will be tarnished by this bug because they think that emblem makes them better at the game than those that do not have them. Therefore for a not skilled player to also have the emblem is somehow an insult to their achievements. I think it is a strange mindset considering you can buy both of them with money through recovery services. And for those that claim that they get theirs legit, how many of them actually played themselves? My point is those emblems are in fact worthless to others. But they are invaluable to the players themselves, because they are memorials for the time you spent on getting certain things in game. Unlike the world’s fist belt, it is not a prove of skill or authority at the game you play. When I look at my day-1 emblems I think of the time when I play for 20 hours nonstop with my friends, some of whom already quitted the game. I can even vividly remember some of the clutch moments and the joy and the happiness when we beat the raid. And some of the most torturous encounters like Atrax-1, caretaker, warpriest challenge mode. These are the things those emblems are for. Not some cheap and strange sense of superiority over those who do not have the emblems.

I personally chose to not participate during the bug, i play for the challenge, and I knew that this bug would cause some serious gate keeping for console players, also im in the mindset that as long as its not used against real players with malicious intent a bug is fine, but this one was bound to be used to achieve things that would normally take time, experience and alot of patience in practically 5 to 15 minutes. I do agree that this bug shouldn’t be the reason anyone gets banned but in something like trials, i do think it gave people an opportunity to get away with something they knew would normally get them suspended or banned. It’s literally using the cheats without the external device and codes

The theory crafting this bug provided is what weapon crafting should have provided from the beginning. Just imagine once a season everyone got a free material that let them turn once crafted weapon into a fully craftable weapon. You can pull perks from other weapons in the same class. Obviously you couldn’t get things like Incandescent on a Strand weapon, but what is the harm of letting me take One For All from Sweet Sorrow and putting it on my Rufus’s Fury? The main problem with crafting is that they hardly feel like “your weapon” because everyone uses the exact same rolls makes it feel like any other weapon.

This was a total blast. I totally get why people are mad, my friend who worked for two months to get her solo nezarec kill was pissed about the bug making her hard work seem worthless, but at the end of the day, it’s impossible to build a game with no bugs, especially when the game is literally 7 years old. What was really wild was the fact that aside this bug was occuring... Another bug was happening where PS4 and PS5 players can play Destiny 2 without PS+, it was genuine fun to be able to not be limited to a Free-To-Try model and actually enjoy the game like how PS3 players can enjoy Destiny. The sad thing is as of today's fix not only struck the crafting glitch, but they fixed the all activities that allowed normal PS4 and PS5 players to require PS+ again. I was really gonna stick around because of the bug, but the bug fix just pushes away players that sought this Free to Play model.

I side with the anti glitch part of the community. My position is that its too chaotic and from what I'm seeing is just a lack of control. I'm also free to play so that knocks either 33-50% of the offered game. Honestly this entire week has been crazy. My extreme side was wanting to ban all. Now after looking and reading comments, I support making a game mode out of this. Encourage more crazy craft builds (appease glitchers). This could be like scorch-canonons, but community made selections randomized and played. This could be the potential Destiny moment of Grifthball or Infection. Since it'll be in a mode, can have a degree of accountability (appeasing anti-glitcher) also this will give a greater quality of life that bungie is neglecting on.

This glitch proves one things: the PvE player base enjoys having weird weapons that ultimately are just fun to use, and it also shows that PvP Crucible is just tacked on to please people who want PvP(it has never been balanced and has always been about what is the most cheesiest to use to just insta-kill your opponents) because unless you where playing PvP all this glitch did is make the fun again for people. Comically the best solution is to change crafting to allow for these type of weird weapons but adjust damage numbers and make it so that you cannot use exotic perks.

I see it as an "aggressive" form of play testing, in the hands of the players. The rapid response from the Devs was good to see. Although busted weapons are fun, like Borderlands type silliness. They obviously cant stay. For the people that are screaming its the same as cheating, its not. Cheating would be like installing a 3rd party application. What we have here is just some funky button pushing using IN GAME assets. This wont last long either, one trials weekend gone wont be the end of the world. Guardians are paracausal, expect the unexpected.

I think if this glitch happened before a day 1 raid race they 100% would've disabled all craftable weapons. Back then, i did EVERYTHING there could be done with a 12 man, all the way from patrol to raids. And guess what, i did the exact same thing this time, too. i do agree that we should have fun with the stuff that people find, yet, theres something that ive not seen a single content creator talk about, and thats those actually negatively affected by the glitch (The Funny guns). Those who cant get the glitch to work, dont have the patterns to use for the glitch, or those who dont have crafting yet or cant get it since they dont have Witch Queen. Sure, a good amount of the community is having fun, but those who are left behind have been severely fucked over in doing all activities, especially PvP. What if one day, you got locked out of 1/3 of the game and you just couldnt play any, watching other play and have fun. And i know there will be those who will inevitably say to "take a break then if you arent having fun", to that i say, after a long day at work, me and my partner want to play together and unwind, have fun, not be locked out of 1/3 of the game cause they havent had time to get to play Witch Queen and get crafting set up AND get 2 patterns to get it working. idk, im so sick and tired of seeing it all. im glad to see it finally being patched (hopefully soon with how persistent the bug is, the team can figure out how to fix it) btw, i was at laser tag weekend and lord of wolves, everyone had those, not everyone has these glitched guns, its not the same, people are excluded from the pool of those who can had fun during the glitch time Xur had Prometheus Lens that weekend which is what sparked it, and most people had acquired Lord of Wolves since it was an easier exotic drop, alot more pre-requisites are needed for this glitch, not: buy gun + use gun no hate at all, im just tired of the glitch now
