“A central goal of this book is to help tease out the elements of the evangelical social imaginary in such a way that those elements that are truly Christian can be better distinguished from those that are merely cultural” (p.30). - Karen Swallow Prior, The Evangelical Imagination
Examination is an act of love. Weigh what you find against God's Word. Weigh it against truth, justice, and mercy to which God calls all his people. And know that "God's foundation is true, the walls of the house he has built are strong, the steeple is upright, and all the windows will allow the light to stream in, now and for all generations to come" (p.6). - Karen Swallow Prior, The Evangelical Imagination

Reformation is needed, especially this time of year. Jeremiah 16:3 “O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.” Did the author address the practice of keeping Easter? If you look up the word Easter in the Webster’s College Dictionary I bought back in 1983 it says, “a Pagan festival celebrated on the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the Spring equinox. God’s Word says in Deuteronomy 18:9 “When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.” We are commanded in Leviticus 23 to keep the Passover forever. Jesus Christ became our Passover. We need to do the things our Father tells us to do. Whoever introduced Easter into the church?
