Took to the end to see how this would work, but like the idea. I will try this myself, well done.

Thanks, Chris! What kind of material are you thinking of using?

Nice pen design. Suggestion, to reduce the possibility of shattering the pen body, assemble the nib end first, insert into the body, install the end cap and check the nin again for proper ink tube adjustment. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

I use a Zebra Z grip pen parts as my pen kit to make turned pens. Total cost to make a turned pen is less than $3 using this method. Have you tried this method?

Never heard of it. Do you have a video showing the process?

Nice work. You should remove the tool rest when sanding, though - H&S! Like me, you have the copper tube showing through when the acrylic tapers to the point of the pen - I believe you can paint the tube to solve this problem, but I have never tried that!

I actually like the copper tube being visible a bit. How do you think it could be painted?
@jonathancmerrett5 ай бұрын
@@Evanstal I think, I have not done it myself, you can put a coat of white paint on the copper tube before gluing it in. You can also get tubes pre-painted - I have seen them at Charnwood Tools but expect you can them anywhere that supplies pen kits
