VERY THOROUGH VIDEO!!! Thank you!!! I thought I had my camera and mobile phone balanced correctly UNTIL I watched your last step at Min Marker 7:45. I didn't realize that this gimbal had another lever to adjust the bottom. This M3 Gimbal is really amazing! Holds my Sony A7C camera perfectly. Even with my large Tamron 17-28mm lens. Actually works better with my camera than my iPhone 12 Pro Max. But now I know why... because of that last step I have to take in balancing the camera and iPhone. Again, thank you for this well explained video!!!

Excellent tutorial. I got my M3 and this was my first gimbal. I couldn't figure out the manual so typed in KZbin search and yours was the first video that popped up. Managed to figure it out in one go. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

My M3 isn't charging my Sony ZV 1. I have the correct cable connecting the camera to the M3. I can start and stop recording using the M3, but for some reason, the M3 is not charging the camera. Must be a settings issue? I've tried a couple of different settings, but no luck yet. Suggestions? WE are going to Europe soon and I'd like the gimbal charging the camera so I don't have to change batteries every half hour.

Crane M3 does not have a vertical mounting plate but has a vertical shooting mode (P mode). ;)

1:12 what do you mean a custom plate? Do they give it for free? I contacted them about my camera: Sony A7 IV, and they told me to order a universal plate which costs £89 here in the UK.

I was following this tutorial step by step but when I try the auto calibration, the gimbal keeps giving an error message “failed”. It doesn’t try to do anything. Would you know why?

@@woodcraft_cz I can't say for sure but it was a balancing issue. After a bit of practice, I got better at balancing and now it doesn't fail on me. Sorry there wasn't a sure shot answer for you, but keep trying. It also helps to have a friend help, a fresh pair of eyes is great when you feel stuck. Have them watch this video and let them balance, see if that works.

Thanks. Any advice for use with a Canon R7 with the kit lens. The viewfinder eyepiece rubber contacts the roll axis motor in the back making the vertical balance impossible. Also the mount base with the red lock button contacts the pan axis motor if not holding the gamble perfectly straight.

How exactly do you loosen the vertical tilt axis lock screw? It won’t turn unless I lift it. It doesn’t become loose.

My son has a D7500 and has trouble with camera body rubbing at the top. When he gets it balanced the auto calibration just fails. The documentation only says it’s compatible with z model Nikon but thought that was just the things like shutter control and focus. Any advice?

If not balance the camera to power on the gimbal, it will easy cause the gimbal enter sleep mode. Make sure that you fully balance your camera when gimbal is off and unlock all three axis locks.

Do you have to do this each time you put your camera in? Let’s say I balance it and lock all the motors. Then I take out the camera, then put it back in the same camera with the same lens. Do I still need to do this whole process over?
