It really inspires me to pursue my own athletic goal. Thank you for helping lift my spirits after a rather terrible day. And Eva, I love seeing you get fitted for pointes!

I’ve never understood why Ballet is not on the Olympic sport programme 🤷🏻♀️ the strength & athleticism they have is incredible! How do the male dancers get so much height! It’s amazing! 🤩
@xxcallmeniaxx3272 Жыл бұрын
It’s the subjective nature of it I think, like Russian teachers vs American vs Japanese all focus on different details so it’s difficult to create a specific grading criteria for it they way they have with gymnastics or figure skating (the other sports I’d relate it too) like specific jumps in different countries would be worth different points.

To be surrounded by such beautiful,humble and talented ballet souls every day and even learning more ballet yourself is amazing!! Then on top you get you photograph and video-graph in class, in rehearsals, backstage etc. how on earth were you able to do this? Just asking for a friend 😉.

That first pointe shoe fit reminds me so much of my first climbing/boulder shoe purchase. It was nuts ❤ and I loved it! What I forgot to do with the next pair was: warming up before😅😂 See, these shoes fit best 1-3 sizes smaller!!(Europe sizes) So you need strength in arms and your back to get into them. Especially if they are new

Why do men not dance on pointe?
@_Kx0ri Жыл бұрын
It's partly because women's legs are more flexible and it is also just more pleasing. Pointe shoes are very small so a man with lots of muscle in them would just look very out of place and awkward
@edwardhisse2687 Жыл бұрын
It's more of a tradition thing althought I don't really doubt guys are naturally less flexible but its not like, entirely impossible. There's a few male dancers practicing pointe independently
@seraphywang4638 Жыл бұрын
@@edwardhisse2687 While it could be more traditional more of a traditional thing, Women have statistically been proven to be more naturally flexible and have softer but dense muscles which coincides with the beauty silhouette form standards that ballet has in general. Its also probably harder to get that perfect form if a dong sticks out too much but thats a guess on my part.

@evelyngrace7254 Жыл бұрын
You don’t have to have an eating disorder
@Hyperlophus Жыл бұрын
Eating disorders are a problem common to a lot of sports when you start training as a more elite/professional level. It's a problem due to body or diet shaming by coaches/trainers/teachers, but it also can be triggered by the restrictive diets and diet monitoring that is part of performing at an elite level.
