This is what we need. The internet is full of videos of already flexible ppl doing demos or teachers walking their already flexible students through stretches they clearly do every day. Yes we need to see proper alignment, but it’s so much more realistic for people to see someone who looks like a real beginner
@julijepp4 ай бұрын
Exactly! And on the proper alignment note, I'll be trying to figure out my positioning to ensure I don't injure myself, meanwhile the demonstration is done by someone so flexible that I have no clue how to do it properly bc my anatomy just isn't there yet
@krasavam16254 ай бұрын
Also its very dangerous for a beginer start with stretching like that, before every stretch you have to be well warmed up and every stretch has to be gradually slowly done. Plus you need to make sure not just stretch , but also strenthen your back muscles and that are different exercises all together. What this flexible girl shows is for already either naturally flexible person or trained one. Beginners also have to be very careful, because back is your spine and you don't want to end up as invalid breaking your spine. NEVER FORCE YOUR MUSCULES especially your back and spine whatever you do.
@Heather-nw1yw3 ай бұрын
People never need those flexibility! It s very dangerous
@admari19012 ай бұрын
@@Heather-nw1ywthat’s not true. Being flexible is inherently helpful so you don’t get hurt doing whatever physical activity that is your choice. While for most it’s not a necessity to be THAT flexible, stretching is something that EVERYONE can do to stay in shape.

She looks like a beginner to you?! She can already do a backbend, and wrap her arms around her ankles in a forward fold. I can’t even touch my toes.

Considering she’s a trained dancer and not a trained physiotherapist her advice was pretty good to suggest starting points. Her back flexibility and the strength to hold those is insane. Amazing stuff. Very entertaining video as well lmao.

I was doing a theraband stretch like this once and literally got a charley horse in one leg AND MY BACK. That, not gonna lie, was the most frightened I've ever been in my life. Like, I'm there, totally seized up, thinking "Is this, like.. forever now?" I COULD not move.

She's basically a contortionist. Building this level of flexibility takes time and it's better to work on it when young. That said, learning flexibility at any age is pretty much always good for you. It's something people take for granite, but it keeps you from pulling muscles or getting issues later as often.

were you naturally flexible in your back?
@edotgirlАй бұрын
@@Sharipov-yt6rm yes, very much so. It took little-to-no effort for me to touch my toes to my head backwards. I now have extensive damage in my low back and it’s pretty much fused and nothing I do (and I a LOT of stretching) can get my toes anywhere close to my head now. So while it is possible to increase flexibility there, I honestly believe most people need to be born with it.
