@@royalecollab3565 Socotra Island is an impoverished Island in the world. It was neglected by previous successive Yemeni governments since the British left Aden in 1967. Only since 2015 when the internal civil war in Yemen kicked off that suddenly this place has become a significant place and in particular when the Emaraties decided to invest in a part of Island in schools, hospitals, airport etc that the focus was on Socotra and its people.

@christine a hi, there is a regular flights, I think 2 times weekly from Aden city to Socotra island , but under the last situations and recent crisis in Yemen I don't recommend to you to travel to. I am from Yemen

The hospitality of the locals is amazing, they get so excited when we knock on their doors and tell them we are guests. I don’t know how much it changed over the years. I had the same dream as a kid too. It was called Komodo island. I actually made it there and it was better than I could have imagined. The Komodo dragons, green tree vipers, Russels vipers, coral reefs, and wonderful villagers. I suppose for some it would be their worst nightmare but I was in heaven! I'd love to go to Socotra. I'd spend a week there snorkeling with a hawaiian sling for my dinner. I'd pay the guy on that beach to take me fishing and sleep on the beach and try to learn more survival tips from him. That island looks like a such wonderful place. Keep up the vlogs on cool places like this!!! Great job!!!
