Lyrics:
I would swallow my pride, I would choke on the rinds
But the lack thereof would leave me empty inside
Swallow my doubt turn it inside out
Find nothin' but faith in nothin'
Want to put my tender, heart in a blender
Watch it spin around to a beautiful oblivion
Rendezvous then I'm through with you
I burn, burn like a wicker cabinet, chalk white and oh so frail
I see our time has gotten stale
The tick tock of the clock is painful
All sane and logical, I want to tear it off the wall
I hear words and clips and phrases
I think sick like ginger ale
My stomach turns and I exhale

As a millennial born in 89' I'm so jealous. I'm obsessed with the 90's... The video games, the music, Japanese cars, and Anime, the early movies about computers when no one had any idea how computers actually functioned (watch 1995 Hackers LOL) it's all so awesome.. Wish I was a teen experiencing it in real time. I would easily consider it the last great decade.

So, funny story... when I was a kid, I used to go over to my friend's house to play video games. My friend had an N64 and I did not, so we ended up playing a lot of Goldeneye 64. One of the things that I remember about that game is the second level objective, "Rendezvous with Trevelyan", or something like that. But when I was little, rendezvous was the first big, irregular word that I encountered in my everyday life. And one that I actually knew the meaning to! Anyway, when I was eight years old and heard this song with that very same word in it, it really stuck with me and became my first favorite song ever.

Saw them live in 2003 (or 04?). They had already broken up, but signed a deal to play at Fredonia college. It was raining pretty good, and the crowd started thinking the band wouldn't come out, so the energy started picking up. After a while they did come out, the angst turned postive, and they rocked the place. First row. Great show.

Yes ❤️‍🩹 & Justin ❤️‍🔥 Timberlake 💘 wrote it back when he was just a teenager (about how my identity thief made him feel), before his hit band *NSYNC took off and both they as a group and he as a now-legendary solo artist became wildly successful pop culture icons; Justin Timberlake was trying to sell this song 🎵 Inside Out 👏 to Eve 6, and the "buyers" ripped him off and didn't give him any credit for writing their only hit song, thus stealing it from him, as revealed in 2023's TROLLS 3: Band Together animated musical 🎶 and 2020's All For Nikki murder comedy 😂 -- and now Mr. Timberlake executes to death everyone who crosses me 🗡🛡🌪⚡️🌋 and eventually we will make sweet hot passionate love 🫦😘💋😍👄🥰❤️‍🔥 together on the group ditch grave ⚰️ of all our trespassers 💣 ...But yes, it is a great song 🎵 👌 😊 👏❤ ~ *JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S* GREAT SONG ~ ❤️💌💘💝💖💗💓💞💕💟❣️💔❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍❤️💯

The memory of this song was buried deep in my subconscious. I remember this music video from when I was a kid. I recently thought of it (27 years old now) and only had the memory of some guy singing inside a diner while it rained in the diner. Then the lyrics "beautiful oblivion" popped in my head and here I am. Sooooo satisfying when u find a song you've been thinking about for YEARS!

Yep. Back in the day, I had Eve 6 pegged as but yet another late 90s 'modern rock' brick of a band that formed part of a broad corporate pseudo-conspiracy to undermine the grunge / punk musical revolution of the early-mid 90s by feeding the youth alternative-sounding but politically vacuous garbage. 20 years later, its just a damn good tune.

Takes me right back to the Summer of 1998 when I would watch MTV religiously throughout the day and into the middle of the night while surfing the AOL Chat Rooms. I remember just about every night MTV would air a show with these sock puppets called "Sifl and Olly", and then would air a non-stop block of Music Videos during the middle of the night called "MTV After Hours". This video, along with "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies, "The Way" by Fastball and "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger would come on literally every 15 minutes, you couldn't escape them.

Hmm.... back in the summer of 98', I was at the peak of life man. I had just finished my tour in the Corps. I had a new girlfriend who wasn't just a part time lingerè model, but a true sweetheart. At the time anyways. Life was good . There was peace . There was freedom. And the Internet was still pretty much just email. Life was actually still being lived. Fast forward 20 years.... The bitch got herself knocked up by some other dude who raped her after she left me for him. I got sent off to war three times, and met my wife in Europe. People today are generally. ....ummm....FUCKING STUPID! "Music" today is SHIT!. Politics are terrible and world leadership is a circus run by the Clowns and they all took LSD. Freedom exists only in books and privacy only in memory. More proof humans are de-evolving.
