As soon as you land in Iceland, go to the duty-free store to stock up. When it comes to drinking, we have more respect for those who know there limits then those who do not. Bring something to write with and write down at panels. If you think you have a good question, write it down! That helps you stick to Dunk's tip about questions. Bring enough clothes so you are not wearing the same stinky clothes too often. My best tip that I learned YEARs ago from work/pleasure conferences: Go a day or two early, stay a day later, if you can!
