What I find interesting is that most modern German homes have a type of blind system built into the home. They aren’t automatic, they are motor controlled as well but are used on the outside of the house for not just shade and also help protect your home. I guess they are more like motorised shutters but I would say the functionality is better than a typical American style blind system because in hot summers and cold winters, the shutters are can be used to keep either cold and or warm air inside your home.

Great video! For the longest time window coverings really were some thing that was unobtainable and I thought only four only the highest and smart homes. I’m so glad that more and more manufacturers are coming out with solutions and we now have a range of options to choose from. Eve obviously makes a solid solid product.

Quick question: I bought the same blinds with a Fauci covering and the instructions do not include how to install this. They included screws but are tiny, any resources on how to do this??

Good video. I’ve been wanting to automate a shade in my guest room (open in day, so a plant there gets daylight, close at night, especially since it’s at front of my home) for awhile now. You are right - it’s probably one of the last things to add to my fully loaded smart home. I like that these are USB-C charged, as opposed to Lutron Serena’s D cell batteries. I love the reliability of my Lutron Caseta light switches, but the D batteries seems like an old fashioned and clunky solution. And if you think the Eve blinds are expensive, then check the price for the Lutrons! I will say that most quality window coverings are usually rather pricey, even with no home automation smarts. I don’t think that Eve is out of line with their pricing. I may give this a try with the one window, and if I like it, add a few more over time. Thanks for the review - it helped in my decision making.

I’ve seen the iKea measured at around 50 decibels. How do the Eves compare?
