It's been ages since i casually played eve but i still love just hearing about the complexities of it

You can casually play Eve?
@dalob1127 ай бұрын
@@danielkrcmar5395 Actually, yes by flying a mining ship around high sec and hoping to not get blown up by pirates! Or hauling resources into lower sec and hoping not to get gate jumped! Basically get involved in nothing, and hope to stay unblown up! I have the suspicion that if i get more involved I'd loose my lifetime to Eve...

@@dalob112If you ever wanna play again, just find a random lowseccer and ask them to show you around. Really gets the heart pumping!

wow.. I have hundreds maybe thousands of hours in Eve and this is a great explanation. Well done! One thing that eventually frustrated me as a solo pilot is you always have to deal with the N+1 problem. Most ppl you encounter will not be by themselves and a lowly frigate stands almost no chance

As someone who is a newbro outside of industry related content, this video was the best of its kind amongst other similar videos and I am subscribed anticipating the follow up videos. Thanks so much!

R.S., I play this game only* vicariously through you. 🙅🏻♂️ 🙆🏻♂️ If I played it for real, then I would lose my job, never bathe, and rarely sleep. I know myself, so that's why I dare not play. Thanks for this exposé. 🙋🏻♂️💻

Maaan I really want to play this game. I've tried a few times but got overwhelmed in a few weeks and quit. There are just too much stuff to learn and these things are not like "learn by playing" kind of stuff. You literally have to open up guides and videos and study like you do your homework. As someone who has 1-2 hours of playtime daily, It feels like I'm just wasting my time 😖
@Jeff553697 ай бұрын
imo, just get yourself a frigate and do level one missions. It's not really that complicated when you break it down to component parts. If you want to get into pvp, yeah, that will be a bit more complicated, because you need to understand the capabilities of the other ships since eve pvp is largely decided by rock paper scissors before the fight even takes place. But even so, you'll need to prepare yourself to lose a lot, and in that losing, you'll learn.

Create an alpha (free to play) account. Run the new player missions for your chosen faction. Then use the internet, and search for the career agents in another faction whose ships you like, and run them all. This will teach you about gameplay mechanics, give you a pretty decent wallet, a good starting stable of ships, and some time in the game learning. After that, consider one of the school corporations such as Eve University, where more experienced players teach the finer points of game mechanics of pretty much every aspect of the game.
