This was me, if anyone has questions, I'll be happy to answer them. :) Was a lot of fun to talk about this.

While I've played couple years back I never got into pve. For me it was all about sandbox and doing missions and such seems like a pointless thing to me :) Trying to make isk of of real people economy and geographic dynamics was challenging and much more fun. Buying low transporting through sketchy areas and selling high among the heavy competition of established big time traders was super rewarding. Understanding demand of an area and finding that niche! And for some time I could finance my subscription doing just that although I was short on isk to fund my pvp activities most of the time :)

That was good @Gonzo Granzeau - wish I had seen something like this back when I was playing. After a while I started figuring this out, but geeez it was hard on the training plan :)

Nice but why no dedicated support/ewar role defined? It plays a huge role in newbie-friendly alliances. People who just started playing the game and can't fly fleet doctrines yet will typically find themselves in dirt cheap ewar frigates that take relatively little skill to fly.
@ainumahtar6 жыл бұрын
Yup, light tackle takes skill, being in an ewar frig and messing with random people until you get blown up and get a new free ewar frig is something a slug with a left mouse button could do.
@Drrolfski6 жыл бұрын
@@ainumahtar Which is exactly why it plays such an important role in newb-friendly fleets. Do a major fleet battle against the likes of Pandemic Horde and you'll get an idea.

I chose not to do the ewar stuff, only because it shifts so frequently. And very few people do it long term. They almost all fall into other categories. They don't aim to do ewar forever, it's a very short term skill. Plus, most fleet comps use 0 ewar, unfortunately. Or they fit into heavy tackle, like Huginns.
@Drrolfski6 жыл бұрын
@@goninzo You can make an argument that alliances like Horde actually use ewar strategically. They even defend their Keepstars with Scorpion fleets. They just don't see that much use within hardcore vet-only alliances like PL

We actually were just flying tengus with ECM. Again, these types of roles are not common.

This is why i play solo or 3 man max. Fuck all this stress. Eve becomes like a job. I play games to escape life not to feel like i'm back at work.
