I had a Basset for 14 years and he never cared about toys. I tried several things over the years and he'd just sniff it and walk off, or if you'd try to start a game of fetch and throw it he'd just look at it, then back at you, then the thing you threw, wondering what why the human was throwing things. He only cared about food and getting petted.

I love Bassett Hounds!!!! I had one thirty five years ago. Then my kids picked out dogs. I lost. They wanted Rottweiler. Which turned out to be a great choice!! We had 3 over the years. Wish I could have another Bassett. But not a puppy. Not up to training a pup. But these guys in this video are ADORABLE!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
