I feel it would be thematic if the rest of the crewmember weren’t part of the D clan. The reason I say this is because it would be really heartfelt if Luffy was able to recruit the rest of his crewmembers to join his cause because of how he is as a person. Think about it, zoro was originally just gonna push Luffy off and go on his own path, and then he seen how determined he was as a person and decided to follow him and make luffy his captain. I feel as though that would be really more sentimental than just all of the other crewmembers suddenly being revealed as members of the D clan. More like luffy was able to recruit more members to the cause he was fated to lead.

This is such a good video, I love it! I'd never seen the actual Japanese phrasing so if I can flex my own reading level here just a bit... Just two observations I want add (NOT trying to argue your points or to say your translations are incorrect, but a couple of things I noticed in the word choice) In the 2nd world where it says 'killed the sun and became god,' when I read the Japanese phrase "kami to nari," I first thought that was a singular idea, with 'Kami' meaning God and 'tonari' meaning next to/adjacent to. Like rather than it meaning someone killed the sun and usurped its throne as a new god, I read that as "in the process of killing/ending/erasing the sun, they created a mechanism that allowed mortals to ascend to a position that is adjacent to god." My brain is having a hard time accepting ending a sentence with "to nari" instead of "to naru" or "to natta." However, considering the old poetic language used in the Harley your interpretation is probably the more correct one. And then there's the Japanese word for "void," kū haku. I think your interpretation is probably right, but seeing the characters being "empty whiteness" I thought it was an interesting juxtaposition to an earlier line that said "enveloped in darkness"

I think that in the first world nika was a Klabautermann. Just as the straw hats had so much trust and joy in their home, the slaves( that feels kinda dirty to say ngl) joy and hope in nika was turned into a klabautermann. The power from that was probably diverted from the mother flame, and it made someone very angry. What do you do to stop people from unifying; create literal physical barriers between people. That's the red line.

i'm starting to think the devil fruits or at the very least most of them were nothing but a hinderance to cross the giant sea across the world, or rather it was used to hold people back from exploring the deep ocean that hides the old world, hence the name devil fruit. yes you gain something but you have to lose something to get it, and it's VERY specific that everyone lose the ability to swim in the sea. but in joyboy's case it was more than that ? will luffy be able to swim again if he learns an even more advanced haki ? something like gifting haki to a rope but with his clothing and it negates things like seastones ? just speculating here on this one.

luffy can hear the voices of the sea monsters ( or other things i imagine ) where it's not the case for most people, the D clan probably can all hear it. thinking about it, what if at the end there is a recording but not just ANY recording of a voice where only those with the gift to hear it can translate the true meaning, which is why roger said those that come after might have a different reaction to what was found out. was roger a true D? or not ? luffy might be a TRUE D and decide otherwise. if roger was a true D then he got the message AND story that it was not yet the correct time for anything to happen so maby something was left out of the story since it was not yet time. maby something with the moon and alignment or something ? getting the right story when the moon looks like a D and the rest of the history is revealed ?

But the joke comes from us also trying to translate/tell the meaning of the text in conjunction with the mural and we all gain our own ideas about what it means. I bet that Gyaban, who has been to Laugh Tale and knows the history, doesn't spoil it for everyone because it's funny to him to hear all of their ideas. Ok so this solidifies my theory. What we are seeing in the middle of the Harley to put it quickly is zunesha reaching for a fruit on the tree which alerts the land god who then uses a fire attack which strikes the flying ship (Uranus) causing it to launch a lightning strike which strikes where franky is standing this hits the motherlode cache of pyrobloin in an underwater cave which then because of the line of summer and winter islands in a ring around the world and thus eddys creates the redline in a massive terraforming event of kinds enveloping the sunlight tree eve and all the people collecting the resources from its roots enveloping them in darkness thus they will never be free to meet with their friends again then the tree turns those peoples dreams and desires into devil fruits. It explains zuneshas sin she committed it explains why Blackbeards fruit weakens these souls pulling them back into darkness. The ship struck by this flame along with its klaubatterman becomes the man marked by flames named just like a “man o war” ship and blackbeards whole plan is to use the tremor fruit to break open the grandline have Moria steal these people’s shadows and as the people would instantly die without them in the sunlight he wants boas fruit to then petrify them all. Funny enough my country kn the Caribbean, the Commonwealth of Dominica, has a native people called the Kalinago and they have a fokelore about a great red snake that rise frim the sea and when killed because a landmark called the Great Snake Head Step. The evil "devil" they all fight against united is Blackbeard after assimilating IMU. The three main factions in One Piece are the three qualitites from Asiatic philosophy. 1. Sattva (purity) = World Govt /Imu 2. Rajas (passion) = Straw Hats 3. Tamas (darkness) = Blackbeard The World Govt is generally perceived as a force of goodness by the public in One Piece. However we have a good guy gone bad situation in a way, so through the morally questionable behaviour of the World Government, Blackbeard will be able to sneak in and assimilate Imu. Darkness overtakes the kingdom that got rotten. This theory is not built on regular in-world lore, but real world philosphy. Just remember, Imu is afraid of Blackbeard. He probably doesn't even know about her, but should she be user of some overpowered devil fruit, she is in danger. While Rajas is a transition state, the two extremes cancel each other out, but I guess Blackbeard is tricky, will sneak in the right moment, getting a final power boost and be an evil everyone unites against. Luffy will face their combined powers in one enemy, while in the world will be a lot of confusion how good and evil could merge.
