Also I always figured Rayleigh and Shakky have whatever the One Piece version of a common law marriage is. Shanks married his long lost sweetheart, a woman named Shaw. After the death of Roger, in a drunken stupor he bounced around the world in grief, until he met Shaw. An intense yet brief love affair ended when he renewed his resolve to set back out to sea. Little did he know that Shaw was pregnant. A little girl was born, but before Shanks could return, the island was attacked and Shaw was abducted. Their little girl was left alone in a battle worn village, picked up by another small child and later adopted by a retiring marine woman. (A tale for another time) Shaw was sold into slavery and suffered under a viscous and lude Celestial Dragon. However, she manages to escape during Fisher Tiger's revolt. Unfortunately she is knocked unconscious during the escape and carried away by fellow escapee during the confusion. The escapee's name is Red and she's a fiery woman from a cowboy island in the grand line. Upon Shaw's awakening, she realizes that Shaw has amnesia. Not knowing who she is or where she's from, Shaw joins Red on a trip home, where they create an infamous band of bandits. Meanwhile, Shanks eventually returns to take his beloved to sea with him, only to find the island demolished. Years and years go by. Shanks has lost his arm, his hat, and even the love of his life. He continues to sail the seas in a drunken stupor, dragging his crew along. Party after party, drink after drink, but never truly forgetting his beloved Shaw. The woman he let die. A life left behind. Fast forward to our current time, and Shanks finds himself on a cowboy island researching Blackbeard. The current island is where Blackbeard and Ace had their fateful battle. As fate would have it, Shanks' crew gets into a tussle with a local group of bandits and after the bosses finally arrive for the final showdown, Shanks is in complete shock. One of the other bosses of the girl gang is none other than Shaw, his long lost love! "Shaw! It's me!" She doesn't recognize him and begins the assault. Shanks tries to avoid the fight, but eventually has to put her down with conqueror's Haki. When Shaw wakes up, her memories of the past come flooding in. She remembers Shanks, she remembers their daughter, and she remembers her grief... She tells Shanks about the daughter that she lost, but Shanks is just happy that he found her. "We'll find her too, Shaw, I swear it! But first, marry me." Little does a money hungry navigator aboard the thousand sunny know, that two people she doesn't even know, are on the lookout for their long lost daughter. With the help of their friend Red and the Red haired pirates. The two newlyweds take to sea. A voyage which they solemnly refer to as: Shaw-Shanks Redemption

Small correction. The accurate translation of the 632 cover story with Mr. 9 and Miss Monday makes no allusion to marriage. It simply says "Whisky Peak bounty hunters". Another small correction. We received a Whisky Peak update in the reaction to Vegapunk's speech. The island is still fully populated it seems. Fun fact: Mr. 9 did an inverted Nika pose in front of the moon. It is similar to how the baby in the 632 cover story is positioned. Upside down, in front of the moon.

My theory is that the island is lodestar, assuming the redline is artificial then the world flooded there is a chance that it was placed on top of a desert continent splitting up the first and the last island, whisky peak and lodestar. another reason is that lodestar could be a western style arc is that even though Oda loves westerns it's still strange we haven't gotten an arc focused on that genre.
