"I have no idea to this day what those two Japanese ladies were singing about. Truth is...I don't wanna know. Some things are best left unsaid. I like to think they were singing about something so beautiful it can't be expressed in words...and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell ya, those voices soared...higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful pigeon (Po!) flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away. Hi Mr Rock N Roll, thank you for reacting to the best power ballad of all times. Daydreaming is a masterpiece from Band-Maid. The drums by Akane, the bass by MISA, the vocals by Saiki and Miku, the guitars by Kanami and Miku, the solo by Kanami, the composition by Kanami, the arrangement - all is masterclass by Band-Maid

The first two verses are perfectly crafted to prepare you for the solo. Just brilliant. I just posted on another reaction (to one of their craziest songs) how the band always puts as much into each song as it can take, and this song is no different, as you picked up on with Akane's drums. I would love to remove the drum track and give this song to a bunch of drummers to see what they come up with. I don't think many would approach what Akane does here. She's such a special drummer and integral to "the Band-Maid sound".

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 As JazzFatcho commented below, B-M's pre-US concerts are ongoing here in Japan. I will go to see their concert TOMORROW at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo. Yeah! 😍 I am now guessing what will the setlist be like by analyzing preceding concerts in Osaka, Nagoya and Sendai 🤔 and I am dreaming of "Daydreaming" in the setlist. They did not play it in the 3 concerts, though 😢
@phaeron2 жыл бұрын
Well, it looks like miracles do happen after all! 🤭I almost didn't expect anymore to see a video of you on this song. :) With all the brilliant high energy songs in their catalogue, it's 'Daydreaming' that grabs me the most to this day and keeps putting me in that exact same state until Kanami brings me back with her solo that feels like being run over by a truck. And I think this metaphor fits quite nicely, because the slide with which she starts the solo almost sounds like the screeching of the brakes during an emergency stop. This song always manages to give me goosebumps on top of my goosebumps. :) Congratulations on reaching 100k and of course get well soon! Greetings from Germany. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊

Take care and recover soon. Greetings from Mexico!🤘

I love MISA more than life. Her bass lines are beautiful and Intricate. Always compliments the song without overpowering it. The whole of the band is amazingly talented without doubt. The solo in this is perfect. Saiki has one of the series singing voices in the game. Akane is always a monster behind a kit and our little pigeon is always there holding the song together in the middle. By far one of if not my absolute favorite bands ever. I will be seeing them 2 times on the US tour and wish I could see all the dates.

Saiki asked Kanami to write a ballad for her to sing. This beautiful number is the result and who knows what emotions were at play when this was being written. Impecable performance from the most talented band in the world. Kanami's solo is outstanding as is everyone's contribution. Pure perfection. .
@johndoh93952 жыл бұрын
Seems like Kanami goes full magician composer mode when Saiki asks for a song. AFAIK, it's only this and Corallium but even among BM songs, those 2 make a serious case to be in the top 10 or so.

@@chrisbergsten1429 i tried a helmet for a couple of rides in the 90's when they were being touted as a must for biking. hated the feel of it and the strap under the chin. not to mention sweating as well. the first 15 years i biked nobody ever heard of a helmet. although i do wear one motorcycling but if you hit a car at 60 it's a different story. i've been into mountain bikes on mostly dirt roads since '88 and rarely see pavement and my average speed is probably 10 miles an hour. i enjoy the feeling of the wind in what little hair i have left
