The flower language of anemones is "fleeting love." It comes from the Greek myth of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, who fell in love with the beautiful boy Adonis after being struck by Cupid's arrow. Unfortunately, Adonis died in an unexpected accident while hunting. BAND-MAID's Anemone is a song about fleeting love. "If I could be born again, I would definitely dream of the day I would meet you. Even if that day never comes, I still love you."

In the studio version, Kanami plays Miku's parts using Miku's instruments. This is something Miku and Kanami talked about in an interview. I think this is because Miku writes the lyrics based on the image of the song and also has to practice her vocals. Therefore, for BAND-MAID, as a live band, the studio version is the starting point. Then Miku practices and the arrangement is adjusted, and performed live with Miku's performance. I think that's why they take time between the recording period, the release period, and the live performance period. Furthermore, the acoustic version has a completely new arrangement. So, I think it's good to compare live version or accoustic version with the studio version.

Their process is so unique. Kanami starts the composition then creates the final demo with MISA and Akane. _Then_ Kobato writes the lyrics. Then the recording with Kanami doing all the guitar tracks. _Then_ Kobato has to learn her guitar part for the lives. (I always imagine her thinking, "ugh, what has Mincho done to me this time.) @@philproffitt8363 I don't think that the pronunciation of each individual sound is too far removed from Japanese pronunciation. However, the basis of Japanese is that each syllable ends with a clear vowel sound, and in the case of their names, these syllables are not elongated. I think that your English style would cause them to be elongated. Akane =〇 əkəne X əkə:ne: MISA= 〇 misə X mi:sə: Kanami=〇 kənəmi X kə:nə:mi: Miku=〇 miku/mikɯ X mi:ku:/mi:kɯ: Saiki=〇 səiki X səiki: As for the accent, the three of Akane, Kanami and Saiki have no accent in these 3-syllables, and the same scale. I know the Band-Maiko one is correct, but I'm not sure about the semi-acoustic one. I might be getting it confused with another song, possibly Smile. And Saiki is a Contralto/Alto, but since her vocal surgery she has been expanding her vocal range with training. Not every character in Japanese has to be its own syllable. You're right in that SAIKI is using 3 characters, but the I is a vowel sound so it modifies the previous vowel and changes the sound of it when said quickly. SA is "sah", I is "eee", so essentially you have "sah-eee" when said quickly, sounds like "Sigh". Similarly, when you have an E in Japanese followed by an I, the E sounds like "eh" and with the I, it becomes "eh-eee" which sounds like how we say the letter 'A' (ay). The name Keiko would be "KAY-KO" and not "keh-eee-ko". Also note the way Japanese people say it they are more cognitive of the sounds and not as flat as we would say it. That being said, I have heard people pronounce the distinct letters individually for emphasis or effect, but in general, it is treated as a combined sound. Saiki's nickname is SAI-chan, and the members say SAI as one syllable.

I agree with your pronunciation of Saiki, when Japanese words are written in Romaji I find that pronouncing them as though they were Italian i.e. all letters sounded with no vowel digraphs, works best (taking into account the unvoiced 'u's and 'i's between unvoiced consonants). Got to take you to task for Anemone though, this is a familiar English word, as in the flower or sea anemones, no excuse for mispronouncing that.
