Just hook up with a teacher, preferably a jazz one.
@snarf15045 жыл бұрын
@@tumpperi3891 Why a jazz one specifically? Just because of the jazzy chords or is there more to it?
@tumpperi38915 жыл бұрын
@@snarf1504 Mostly because the theory side, you learn how music works and apply it to improvisation, which is basically composing on the spot. On top of this you will gain technical skills just like classical players. With classical teachers your point is to become fluid player for the purpose of playing in the orchestra. Nothing wrong with the latter, just way more useful if you want to write music in my experience.

So what I got from this video is: YES, you can do all this in 5 minutes but.. 1) You have to be very skilled on keyboard / music theory 2) You have to have GREAT libraries such as the ones he's using 3) You have to be really good at improvising too Guess what, I don't have any of these
@manupast5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree...I spend days only to obtain that chords sound quality...honestly not reaching that quality :)
@Voidermusic5 жыл бұрын
@@Joseph-ot8rc 2) isn't true. Have you played final fantasy 8? Get the midi file of "Don't be afraid" (it's all over the web) and load it into your DAW, either do the setup yourself with the dated factory orchestra from Kontakt full version, or if you have Cubase, let Halion play the instruments. It sounds absolutely stunning. Why? Because it's such a damn great piece with so many lovely details that will even sound great on dated cheap libraries. That moment was when I realized that I just need more practice and not more libraries. By the way, I am far from being great at orchestral compositions and this is only a prototype I didn't keep working on, but here's how nice the kontakt 5 factory orchestra can sound. It's only from Kontakt, nothing else! soundcloud.com/foxedge/orchester-prototyp-2k18/s-rP9FQ And another one: soundcloud.com/foxedge/evil-palace-theme-fantasy-rpg

I very much doubt that this is improvised. the chords are known and the melody as well. And frankly, it sounds like a soup for a would be gladatorian film. this is not to dispute your skill or knowledge of music. And i am sure it can help.
@ArnAndersson5 жыл бұрын
100% improvised. Anyone that knows my workflow knows this is how I work. And 4 chords and a random blurb of a melody is quite frankly not hard to do. The key here is in the arranging and production principles applied. Which I am teaching in my course Orchestral Sketching, which has gotten insane feedback and results from the students so far.
