I enjoyed that so much, I consider myself a good listener but I don't always know how to get a conversation going, Very insightful, practical and simple. Of course I loved that David also mentioned the power of play as a form of deep connection. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this thoughtful discussion. I looking forward to reading the book to learn more about asking questions, and learning to listen to others more deeply. Some of us have a 'backlash' feeling (fear) after opening up to others, because we have been hurt by doing so. I mistrust the most those people who get angry with me if I'm not so open about answering their questions. Yet sometimes I talk too much and don't listen well enough. Thank you for the tips, I really need them and don't want to be a 'topper', and good to know the pause is OK, I don't have to come up with a question immediately to fill the void. "Depression is a malfunction in the instrument you use to perceive reality." Suffered with this malfunction 38-39 years ago, this definition hits the nail on the head.
