Americans and the world needs more of these exemplars. I really really enjoyed their conversation and as a black man filled with rage at the injustices of a system designed to continue to subjugate and oppress our people through the various institutions of our country, I find that my view of our situation have changed dramatically since I discovered Professor Cornel West, and this frank and open discussion brought tears to my eyes as it made me realise that the world can be a better place. We all just have to lift our voices and understand that even those we consider our enemies, if we look closely and hard enough, we may find some good. At the end of the day, underneath our skin, we have the same colour of red running through our veins. Thank you for your love and service to truth ❤️

This is one of the most beautiful conversations I have ever seen. It also holds the key to bridging the partisan and ideological rancor in America. Two amazing Christians who disagree forge a path through LOVE and RESPECT. To listen with intent is to honor. What a glorious gift these men have given us. Thank you! Be blessed!

Great minds as Professor Dr. Cornell West and Professor Dr. P. George, keeps us to think and ask questions. To be able to agree to disagree, and still be friends, keeps one laughing, but Truth seekers , to be wrong, inspires me, even myself. We grow.

Had to pause this video to say the biographical prelude concerning their friendship and the laughter brought me right to the happy tears. I recall conversations with my own dear friends, true friends in spirit, that sets my heart on fire now in memory as it did then when we contemplated and challenged one another on the forms of good and of the highest good of God. When I imagine what good times I will remember at my death, I will recall such moments and such relationships as among the most joyful. God be praised.

So at around the 24:40 min mark, Cornel West comments about his own mother and Robert George's parents being real "gems of the spirit" and that explains their own goodness. So anyone watching this video who has not felt that kind of love from a parent/someone else or has no source of "good" in their life has just been made to feel worse.

lol, all grown-ups (adults) are responsible for THEIR OWN feelings, I'm an orphan and had to learn this, wasn't easy but thank goodness I did, I aspire to be like those inspirational people they refer to

@@larrynicholson9262 having an example of “good” in one’s youth says nothing of one’s own responsibilities as an adult. It’s seems more to recognize and appreciate the effect of a kind/caring/loving parent or role model in the development of a child. I’m happy to hear you made it through struggles most cannot begin to relate with and to go even further, hoping to bring inspiration to others, is in of itself inspirational. Thanks Larry.

@@larrynicholson9262 More personal responsibility "brilliance" from the bottomless pit of such, with a mixture of metaphysical authoritarianism and neoliberal solipsism from the sage Larry Nicholson. Kudos, genius.
