@swordshreader my warmest thanks! This improvisation surprised me too. It wasn't supposed to be this beautiful. I can't reach such a high level anymore like in this evening song, but I'm glad that at least this turned out nice. Thank you for your comment, it cheered me up!

Lovely. Thank you. Before reading the note, reminded me of late Lyle Mays. Then, landed in King's Singers' rendition of "Esti Dal" (on their "From Byrd to The Beatles" DVD) which is quite touching. As a prayer for weary wanderer in twilight, could be linked to a Danish song titled "Tunge, Mørke Natteskyer" --Jakob Knudsen's words set to music by Carl Nielsen in 1919. After learning the song in its _conventional_ form, I would recommend Henrik Gunde and Jakob Munck's free interpretation, available on this platform. ---There's no end to such babbling. Hungary is heaven for folk music, but so is Finland. Perhaps you would improvise on a favourite folk song of yours someday.

Esti Dal by The King's Singers is absolutely beautiful! I have a great admiration for David Hurley. I had the pleasure of hearing the group in concert four times while he was still singing the countertenor part.

@sunkenindeaf Lyle Mays is one of my biggest heroes, may he rest in peace. Along with Ray Manzarek and Herbie Hancock, Mays could only play what was necessary. You wrote an interesting analysis. I listened to Tunge, Mørke Natteskyer. It gave me fuel for the next time I have the honor of meeting an upright piano. Thank you for your suggestion regarding Finnish folk music! I see this as an important challenge because it seems to me that most of us are inspired specifically by folk music from other cultures than our own. So do I. I'm going to dig up some Finnish folk song some time and just decide to get excited about it. Thank you very much for your comment!
