I bought my own Rivendell - a remote place in West Wales untouched by time for over 500 years. Never thought we’d find a place like it. No road only a track. The land slopes away to the wooded valley where there are streams, waterfalls. No traffic, no noise and beautiful night skies, sunrises and sunsets. There is an ancient footpath crosses the land. If you’re meant to, you’ll find it just like we did. Amazingly beautiful place

"I sit beside the fire and think of all that I have seen, of meadow-flowers and butterflies In summers that have been; Of yellow leaves and gossamer in autumns that there were, with morning mist and silver sun and wind upon my hair. I sit beside the fire and think of how the world will be when winter comes without a spring that I shall ever see. For still there are so many things that I have never seen: in every wood in every spring there is a different green. I sit beside the fire and think of people long ago, and people who will see a world that I shall never know. But all the while I sit and think of times there were before, I listen for returning feet and voices at the door." TLoTR, Bilbo Baggins

And who knew that now after all of these years, I'd be talking to the love of my life with this music in the background. Fighting for the same goal that Aragorn and Arwin put their lives on the line to achieve! Victory. VICtory -- VICTORY!!!

When I was 7 years old when the fellowship first came out, I shit you not I literally went to go see the movie 13 times. Quite literally 13 times. And being a girl at that age it was quite rare to be into SUCH a medieval and more I guess “guy-liking” type of film like that……I only knew one other girl in my grade who was as obsessed as I was with it, lol! LOTR will forever hold a special place in my heart- that is for certain ❤️ Oh and I was also blessed being born on the 15th of December….so every movie that came out, along with The Hobbit series ones, always came out either on my birthday or just days within it 🥲

One of the many things Jackson's Lord of the Rings got perfectly was the music. It was clear from the beginning that Howard Shore had read the books and knew Tolkien well enough to introduce that slight echo of Catholic chant.
@winterh463345 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. It is the best movie soundtrack of all time in my opinion. I mean just this song perfectly captures the strange and lonely nature of the elves and their sadness. It even fits the timeline since the elves are leaving middle earth and their age is over - it really feels like a goodbye song to them.

"If Aragorn survives this war, you will still be parted. If Sauron is defeated, and Aragorn made king and all that you had hoped for comes true, you will still have to taste the bitterness of mortality. Whether by the sword or the slow decay of time, Aragorn will die. 0:00 And there will be no comfort for you. No comfort to ease the pain of his passing. He will come to death, an image of the splendour of the Kings of Men undimmed before the breaking of the World. But you, my daughter...you will linger on in darkness and in doubt. As nightfall in winter that comes without a star. Here you will dwell, bound to your grief, under the fading trees. Until all the World is changed, and the long years of your life are utterly spent."

Indeed the End of World did came, Not with meteorites and other hollywood shits of course But it did changed since 2012 for Worst. Will never be Lotr again like this no matter they copy paste it no matter wealth.. Also the best of them are the ones featuring Enya, whose voice is just from another world, like she truly resembles an elf. God bless Tolkien. Can't imagine the universe of Middle Earth that we would've had if he would had time to finish his unfinished stories and maybe more. 10 more years if he lived and we would've had about enough material for 10 more movies i think. My fav musician was Hans Zimmer but after listening to these (1) Feast of Starlight (Hobbit: The desolation of smaug) (2) Evenstar (LOTR: The fellowship of the ring) ...... Howard Shore has same postion in my heart.

Simply the best soundtrack ever written for films and will be remembered like the great old classic symphonies.

Since I was 15 I’ve listened to Evenstar to sleep, to reflect, to reset and now my daughter does...this is timeless, just as the movies, the books! I’m forever grateful for the escape music brings

very sad score knowing the elves are slowly fading into non-existance to make place for the age of man, soon to be a distant memory

But they are not fading out into nothing, they are going to Aman, to be with the most of their kin, as Eru intended for them... they are leaving middle earth... and that is kinda sad.

The soundtrack captures the melancholy of that situation perfectly.

There is a sadness to the music. But it matches the elves. Theirs is a country of beauty but it's fading. They know that and so they leave.

It is really amazing, when you have so much trouble, things that you are worrying about or your hearth broken so many time and beside all the bad things happening in real life, it is so amazing to know that you actually do have an whole great universe to put your mind in it and actually enjoying with forgetting all the negativity in your real life at least for a while. That universe for me is Middle Earth.

This Movie and Music were inspired by God and his grace, which many of you can feel. Those who have Holy Spirit in them ( they dont sin carlessly and are even a little bit good ) can feel it inside them. The less you sin, the stronger Holy Spirit is and it more resonates with you.

So if nothing else, the one thing that is the best out of every movie ever is the music. Howard Shore is a genius and I think that at the very least Lord of the Rings has the best music of all time

I think of the small town I grew up in the mid 1950's. So many trees and forests to explore. It was a simple and quiet place with apple groves and a farm hidden in the middle of a forest. The older I become the more heart longs for that time and place.

Beautiful and so delicate, which in music here, represents the leaving of the Elves from Middle-Earth. What gorgeous sound to fall asleep too, just as much as listening.
