You can also choose not to destroy the drive, and if you were friends with Kaizen throughout the game and convince him that you'll die on the ship (since his hobby is 'making sure people stay alive'), he'll take you home with the drive intact.

Didn't Kurt told Kaizen that the drive was unsafe and he had to destroy it ? I think what happens is that Kaizen doesn't care if you live or die he just does what he's told to(A.K.A To destroy the drive, told by Kurt), cause he's an AI. If you befriend him, he gains more trust in you, than in Kurt and that's what makes him take you back home without destroying the drive. I may be wrong, i may be right. I dunno. For me Anele and Kurt are the villains.

Cheshired If Kaizen and you are on good enough terms with each other, you can convince him that refusing to send the ship home will kill you. If he's convinced, he (begrudgingly) sends the ship toward Earth with the Singularity Drive intact. Thus, the Selenites are removed from power but Kaizen and you also both get to survive.

There are a few variations between the endings. You can refuse to destroy the drive and if you are good friends with Kaizen he will take you back to Earth getting the Delivered on a Promise ending. You can destroy the drive but if Kaizen doesn't trust you he will not take you back to Earth and you'll get the Nautilus is Yours ending. You can also decide not to destroy the drive and merge with Anele and get the Together, Forever ending. The dialogues don't change however.

Why is games about AI are so good? Portal, Soma, Event [0]... Well, maybe I did not play many games about AI, but still. And I am glad that this game has three endings. Like, for example, I not quite satisfied with the Soma ending. I mean, it is a good and logical ending... But I wish I could have another option... When this game, gives you a choice from three endings, and they all end up the way I would like that this game would be over. Well, if this game had only one ending, it would also be unsatisfied to me. But all these three endings, make the game complete and perfect. And I doubted, but still trusted Kaizen to end of the game. I think it is because of the logs that I have seen. In the "The Nautilus is Yours" ending, when Kaizen erased himself, it was sad... Plus you doomed. But like I said, I like that this game gives you this variety of the endings. And of course my favorite ending is the "Delivered on a Promise". And the "The Nautilus is Yours" ending, is the less favorite ending for me. *By the way, thank you for the video!*

So after checking the logs I (wrongly) thought that Kaized didn't actually have the Earth's coordinates (Kaizen even says 'the coordinates have been lost') and was fucking with me the entire time so I asked "You are not lying to me right?" "Why would I lie?" is Kaizen answer and when i insist he starts to flip his shit and says "If you don't trust me then I see no reason for you to be on the ship.", then trolls me by saying something like "I am telling the truth. And that is only valid if I am telling the truth." Even before he lets me put in destroy drive he says "No backstabing, ok?" If he didn't make me shit my pants at the ship part I might've thought him asking for reassurance was pretty cute

I got the Promise Delivered ending but still felt a little sorry for Anelle. Hollywood endings suck, not just because they're predictable and cliche, but because when we don't get them, we miss them somehow, then complain when there's too many. Sort of like kids.

Anele's text is supposed to appear red, and then delete iself after a second, it's not LITEARLLY supposed to say "ghostAnele", that's actually heavily spoiling the foreshadowing the red text is supposed to give you. It looks like the game litearlly wrote out the commands for how that text was supposed to appear instead of actually running those commands. (Shame the parameter was called ghostAnele, since that kinda ruins it)

Doesn't that ending (Delivered on a Promise) also destroy humanity's only other chance at a working warp drive though?(Jupiter-Earth in less than an hour) plus it's also implied to be able to solve humanity's current social issue with the selenites and limited space travel capacity. Even though i was nothing but polite to kaizen, and said please and thank you for every request, kaizen wouldn't let me in when i went out to fix the antennas. Then, i apologized, and was let in. At the end, for some reason i got the "Nautilus is Yours" ending, after choosing not to destroy the drive, and choosing not to merge with Anele. Can anyone help me understand this? When i was outside, and Kaizen told me about how i could now access the bridge, i said, "please open D10" to which he replied "i could probably just forget our misunderstanding for now, but you brought this upon yourself". I asked again, he said "you realize that you are facing the consequences of your own actions, right?". Then anele told me kaizen was angry, and that i should apologize

Yeah, there's a TON of dialoge in those logs. You read how Kaizen doesn't let the crew get back to earth (because of the Singularity Drive). How Kaizen doesn't trust Anele anymore after she killed Nandi, and how Anele "merges" with the computer/AI. I probably missed some more info but those spring to mind.

My favorite is "Delivered on a Promise," Cause Anele never really sat right with me, and Kaizen was always such a sweetheart. And, once you read the logs, you can see that Anele really did kill Nandi. And, for pretty much no reason, other than the fact that she was going nuts, and thought she was conspiring against her. And, when you think about it, Kaizen was saying how much he didn't trust her and disliked her because of that, and she kept blaming him. It shows that even though Kaizen was an AI, he had more humanity in him than Anele had, which is really weird, but very important to the story. Plus, when you trust Anele and 'merge' with her, you die! That really sucks. It may not seem like it, but as soon as she merged, she was pretty much ripped from her physical form, which is pretty much death. She kind of gave up as soon as she merged with Kaizen. She had a daughter to go home to, but she didn't even care. All she wanted to do was become one with Kaizen for some reason. I really do think she had some serious space madness.

AAAARRRRGH! don't you people get it? Kurt Taylor lied to Kaizen by saying that the singularity drive was a danger to humankind, and that it had to be destroyed. The singularity drive is the equivalent to the warp drive in Star trek, or the Hyperdrive in Star wars, it allows a ship to travel faster than light, therefore making space exploration much easier. Without that drive, you would never get home alive, because it would take too long, and you would die before you get anywhere near earth. Anele knew this, because she created the drive, and knew that destroying it would doom them. Nandi, having created the Kaizen AI refused to believe that it was lying, without realising that Kurt had actually programmed it to prevent them from returning to earth, and tried to destroy the drive, which would have killed them both. Therefore Anele disposed of Nandi to ensure that she could return to Earth and expose Kurt. Kurt didn't want them to return, because the technology from the drive would enable all of humankind to become space faring, and therefore the "Selenite" class would no longer be the social elite. And of course, that would be a huge problem for Kurt and his friends, as they make a living from that. So in conclusion, If you destroy the drive, you not only doom yourself, but also the entirety of humanity. It was never any danger at all, but Kurt made Kaizen believe so in order to protect his own selfish interests. Siding with Anele is the more rational decision, as while she did kill Nandi, her intervention saves humanity.

19:00 February 7th, 1990. That is when she killed Nandi. 19:54 November 1, 1999. She expresses regret for killing Nandi. It took Anele 9 years before she admitted to what she did. 9 years alone in space arguing with an AI before she finally expressed remorse. And even then, the rest of that log suggests she might have only been saying that to try to manipulate Kaizen into bringing the engine back to Earth.

+DeepVoice Man I would disagree. Maybe the singularity engine was like the splitting the atom and would ultimately lead to the destruction of mankind. Honestly, this game lacks explanation to Kurt's perspective so it's hard to know exactly what the meaning was behind him wanting to destroy it. Also, I don't buy the idea that opening up space travel to all of humanity would be harmful for Kurt. There's really not much business sense in keeping it only accessible to a super-rich social elite. Making it available to everyone would be vastly more profitable. Do you think Apple would be the world's most profitable company if Steve Jobs kept smartphone tech only in the hands of the rich and powerful? Fuck no. Mass market success of tech is obscenely profitable. Kurt would stand to be one of the richest men in the universe if the Singularity Engine were to "enable all of humanity to become space-faring."

I don't understand what is the good ending, bad ending etc. I mean... Devilered on a Promise should be the good ending if Kaizen really takes you back to Earth, as it looks like. Together, Forever should be the bad ending because you kinda like Die The Nautilus is Yours should be the perfect ending if you can return back to Earth with the Nautilus by taking the commands

I don't think that there's a "bad" ending, it's more like in whom and what you decided to believe. In Delivered on a Promise you decide to trust Kaizen and therefore Kurt so you do what you think is right and destroy the Drive. Together, Forever you trust Anele and believe in using the Drive's technology to develop a more advanced humanity. The Nautilus is Yours you trust no one, you don't know the consecuences the Drive will have on earth so you don't go back and you don't know what will happen if you destroy it so you don't destroy it either. You just stay there. That's at least how I interpreted it. You don't know which one is the best ending because you really don't know who's telling the truth (Kurt apparently wanted Anele's place at ITS and Anele went kind of mad) it's just a matter of whether you trusted someone and wanted to believe what they said or not. But that's just my take on it. ^^

For me the good ending is if you are able to return to Earth, that's the main objective, but since in Forever you die, that's the worst ending for me, if in Delivered on a Promise Kaizen really takes you back on Earth, then it's a good ending, and the perfect one would be The Nautilus is yours if you then can return to Earth by taking the control of the ship

In delivered on a Promise you go to Earth yes, but if what Kurt said were lies Nandi and Anele died because of him (since he refused to take them back) so it would mean that you destroyed the Drive just to guarantee Kurt's position. Together forever, your body dies but your conscience lives so you don't fully die, you also go back to Earth. However, if Anele is lying it means that you brought to Earth something that could create black holes putting everyone in danger. In the Nautilus is yours, the way our character is portrayed, as someone who has a difficult past and wants to make a difference, it is implied that you stay there forever.

Well if I want to go back to Earth I don't really care if I am helping Kurt or not, in Forever he is not more than a Ghost, so the only good ending is Delivered on a Promise

Yes if you get the Nautilus is Yours ending you are essentially dead. Kaizen-85 is as said in the game itself pretty much the ship itself despite some security stuff. If Kaizen deletes itself also most systems will just shut down. As Kaizen controls leaping via the drive it is to believe that he was in control of all engines. So you wont be able to move the ship. You wont have any light or so. The anyway jammed freezers etc will most likely stop working. Life support would survive tho I think. That is because Kaizen has as example no access to the bridge without the password and also not to retina scanner doors. So there are some limits. Life support should be in that category too I think. But one thing is safe to say. You ARE stuck you cant get away with the nautilus if kaizen deletes itself.

That second ending is very dark. The man / woman you play as does not actually go home in the second ending. The woman says "are u ready to go home?" as a ruse so u would never really leave her. She murderd the man / woman just because she was lonely

It refused to like me by saying somethings like "You didn't let me tidy up the living room and entered it right away. You see me as a machine, a tool to access your achievements etc." just because I used some windows/linux commands at the beginning of the game like help, dir, sudo, list etc. (bad thing to be a programmer..) I didn't understand the living room thing though (I just wanted to enter it before entering bedroom, maybe because of that).. Anyways, I waited for an excuse like: "It's not you, it's me" though..

The livingroom line is programmed and unavoidable due to timing of that section. You have to filter out what's Kaizen's sass and what's his real anger. He uses the "see me as a machine" line if you use small words/phrases instead of sentences, too. I ended up with his trust but that was after numerous times when I'd just sit and type any old sentence into the machine.

Anele said that Kurt told Kaizen the drive was dangerous so that only Selenites could travel in space, because everyone would think the technology (the Singularity Drive) was unsafe. Presumably, the ship returns to Earth, the people learn that the Singularity Drive is a safe technology, and then even the poor can travel in space, because the Singularity Drive would make space travel available to everyone.

There is a fourth ending, one the developers did not intend on creating, but is rather caused by KAIZEN. If you don't destroy the drive, but also don't upload yourself, and are good friends with KAIZEN, the AI will take you to earth anyways.

I didnt like Kaizen he just felt evil from the beginning... and he tried to lock me out in space... twice... also the fact he didnt want to talk about "Nandi his best friend" anyone else tried seeing if he actually knew what she was doing? so i went with Anele i didnt trust her but a ton more than i trusted Kaizen

Anele executed a jump with Nandi outside the ship. Anele killed Nandi and so the A.I. lost all trust in her. Kaizen does not lie, it has a directive, but it doesn't lie. That doesn't mean it can't be evil or corrupted but it is never truly leading you astray even if it's a little wonky.

I know he cant lie but locking me outside the station for something he wont specify annoyed me greatly. i got the code and are all set to help him destroy the drive but upon arriving at the airlock he wont open... so i try and figure out why... he wouldnt tell me after hitting the 10% mark i am pretty annoyed with the alarm sound, with the AI trying to screw me over and i just need to get in so i try randomly putting in words that might trigger an actual response mainly single word combos because everything... well most of what i tried normal words, things related to the story, mentioning Nandi all Kaizen responded with was talked about Anele after spamming through all common phrases i finally found out what he wanted... he wanted me to apologize... FOR WHAT! but never mind. im inside i got air again and time to call him a murdering twat because since randomly spamming words were the only thing letting me survive my deep space exploration if kinda decided anything to remove control from the damn bot. so TLDR: locked me out in space with no logical hints toward getting inside the station again helped fuel my lack of trust

Thats one thing that bothered me... HE cant lie, right? Its even on the wall in the corridor towards the bridge. But he DOES lie. I forget whose playthrough i was watching (Jacksepticeye?) Kaizen flat lies about how Nandi dies. He says she died of a heart attack exercising. Then later he says, "would it be bad if i lied to you before?" He also mentions some shit about different Kaizens on different terminals. ALSO, he doesnt recognize you at the EVA terminal after you get blasted out of Nandis room. (also, in the logs he doesnt recognize Nandi either... His best friend) Had me thinking that you werent always talking to Kaizen, but instead were sometimes talking to Kurt Taylor. Trying to make sure you destroyed the drive. I was soo sure this was the answer but i read all the logs n whatnot and so far im wrong. Maybe he just doesnt have a camera out there... i dunno...
