Bozman is a genius with this event. It’s like he knew it didn’t matter who got to the stairs first, or hell, who was about to finish, that this was an endurance test. Look how many people were behind in the run and beat people who were in the stairs a hell of a lot longer. What an event!

@@CrossFitGamesTV From home this year. I lived in Madison - stayed for 20 years after college there - but left last year. The capitol and State Street and the Capitol Trail around parts of the lake are great spots to have events where everyone gets together to support from the sidelines. It's a really athletic area overall I'd say.

45:00 Based on the way this ended with constant oversights and too much focus on "this is tough, this is hard, they are struggling" and how the men's Top 5 were all spoken of but the women had the most exciting battle. I feel like Sean Woodland should be the *only* commentator with occasional checks to these other guys cause HE is the ONLY one who speaks what's ACTUALLY happening AND he's excited for competitive wins even when it's 5/6/7. Now watching through my second CrossFit Games and it's like Sean Woodland is the only dude who's actually watching what we're watching. The others can be so distracted, maybe they're nervous but they go *OFF* the rails with the science side of things.

Just my experience but the commentary is so important because keeping up with first place is difficult due to the nature of the events and the sport itself.

Great ending. However, the comments that all CF box gyms provide this type of support, unfortunately is not true.
@johnmccrary6712 Жыл бұрын
You're at the wrong box. While the support might never be exactly like this, the support i received at my box was helpful in pushing me to finish my workouts in the past. If your community isn't supporting you, there are many other boxes that can be incredibly different. Find the right box community for YOU.

Get Chase off of commentary. This year was his absolute worse year. At 1:21:40 he goes to to say how Hayley Adams won’t let anyone pass her on the stairs; when 30 seconds earlier about six women pass her. That was one of many wrong things on this broadcast.

Haley doesn't has the mentality of a champion, I thought she was gonna win the event.
@CapEmpire2 жыл бұрын
Abstolutely nothing to do with mentality. She’s in the bottom in strength of the all the girls there so those strongmen implements are already gonna be tough on her. On top of that grip strength is almost impossible to back quickly so if it goes in the hussafel carry, youre just doing intervals
@luismorata48012 жыл бұрын
@@CapEmpire I know, but she was just 3 metres away from the finish line, so those moments are when you have to push even harder. she was way ahead from the rest of competitors, so she didn't pace herself properly (lack of strategy).
