When in Cambodia, hoping onto a boat and meandering through the floating village and taking a ride on Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest fresh water lake in the South East Asia, is an absolute must. This is probably one of our biggest highlights of our Cambodian trip.
Tonle Sap lake is also unique due to how it gains it's water as there only a 1 river that supplies the lake with water and flows out from the lake, this is due that the level of the lake is at such a level that it even out from the Mekong river. Meaning, that in the rainy season, water flows into the lake from the Mekong river and in the dry season, it flows back out into the mekong river.
We were curious as to how people around the lake live and sustain life along side this lake, so we booked a tour with a boat company and went out to go check it out.

What a lovely boat cruise, even the rain didn't ruin the journey too much. It's so great to see how people have adapted to the environment and work with it by having house boats and homes on stilts rather than being flooded out regularly.

Hey Buddymoon, keep the videos coming. Really enjoying this Cambodia part. Bringing back a lot of memories from our visit there before. Them floating houses and houses on stilts are amazing, we should build some of those on the Harties Dam...lol. Hope you guys get to try the Crocodile or some really good Amok. If you guys do head to Phnom Phen, more specifically Central Market (Phsar Thmei), there is a lady there that sells the best squid you will ever taste! there are youtubers who don't even know what they are talking about like nomad shubham but he has 2.5 million subscribers and then we have buddy moon who gives good information. so i guess youtube views and subscribers base has got to do with relatability than what they get out of spending time to watch the video. relatibility means in case of shubham who is from bihar, has lots of free people bored of their lives with free time who likes to watch his videos with white women around and many interesting countries & locations. lucky for him he got two russian female friends too who were part of his videos for whom half of india would watch just as they are used to watching bollywood heros romancing heroines. then he keeps talking about how he found cheap accomodation/flights etc. which is another area where indians care for cheaper things enjoy more. he doesn't do vulgar things and respectful to females which brings in some feminists as his audience. he keeps it simple as most indians dont care about details. watching youtube videos is more like a temporary involvement where indians looks for useful info for them to travel or in some other way. then there is patriotism where he talks about how proud he feels while seeing indian flags & some people likes that and now with all these he is a brand built out of perception & nothing else. 😄
