Love how we went from regi puzzles in gen3 to them deciding that taking the flute specifically given to capture god, to the only place in the region you could possibly conclude “hey, maybe god hung out here”, was too complicated for kids.

Emerald INGAME EVENT: Here Read Braille and use HMs, TMs, and items that are not normal used like this and make sure to come here with 2 Weird pokemon that you likely haven't seen one of them yet. Also Count your steps and do it on this specific spot. Platinum: Oh no The event that specifically say to go to a PLOT IMPOTANT Area once you get this item is too complicated for people to get. HGSS: Here take this Event Pokemon we just distributed go into this secret hidden chamber behind multiple puzzles and not seen or accessible until you have the flag this pokemon makes and watch a super important Lore Event we will retcon in two more games and never talk about again. Also we wont tell you about this.

Somehow, the Feebas bs or Braille puzzles in Gen3 were less confusing than getting the Azure Flute and just going to the place where you encounter Dialga and Palkia, apparently.

Honestly your Azure Flute explanation makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately that answer can't be used in interviews for obvious reasons so they had to go for one of the worst ones they could. In a world where the Regis exist, almost no task is too hard (especially if the task is "go to Spear Pillar")

Fun fact: Eternal Flower Floette also had it's signature move updated graphically for Gen 7. It also had a unique Pokédex entry in USUM that you can legitimately view in-game by scanning a QR Code for it on your Pokédex

The Faraway Island event never being released outside of Japan and Taiwan with forever be a headscratcher to me. Was it because the release of DP is near, at least in Taiwan where the Old Sea Map was distributed from June to September 2006?

We were robbed of az’s floette. Hopefully in legends ZA lets us obtain it. You might be able to get mew in gen 3 with glitzer popping, Either directly or by giving yourself the old sea map

For a second there i thought you would mentioned the unreleased events of the pokewalker that never made it outside of Japan. Anlther interesting thing that im not sure gets really talked about is how the poketch had some unreleased applications on there as people have found in the code. I do have hope that we will finally get AZ's Floette too!

It's clearly not the task of taking the flute to the pillar that's too difficult for players to figure out, but rather something that the pokemon company doesn't wish to discuss in case they want to use that again or something similar.

Even if people are a bit tired of getting legendaries in games with ease, i think they should do even more in-game events for those pokemon and include the mythicals too. Allowing us to explore and reward us for doing it, instead of just offering them by Wi-Fi events. These unreleased or forgotten events should return in a modern way to the new games.

Never liked event pokemon. Bunch of areas and content permanantly locked off the game (meaning waisted development time) that assuming it even happened, you had to win the post code lottery of being near a location that enabled it. I think the Celebi ones in HG/SS was the worst as that was important plot info that if you couldnt get the event celebii becouse you didnt live near where the promotion was, you never experianced.
