Have you ever wanted to simply put down the gamepad and just play from the sidelines? Well... now you can with our all new Coach Mode! We've taken player control out of the equation and put the playbook in your hands!
Coach mode is a new setting you can toggle ON or OFF before a match begins. This new mode is available across all of our game modes and we've been having a fun time playing as the coach. We think it's really cool to manage your team and call plays to see if they execute how you envisioned it in your head.
Keep in mind when playing this mode you can only control up to 2 teams at a time. It doesn't work with multiple controllers per team, as only 1 player can call plays thus making additional controllers irrelevant.

This is AWESOME. I know its a lot of work and probably a long term goal but if this could get a franchise mode with multiple seasons and stat tracking (even if it didnt have trades/drafts) it would be just too sick.

Absolutely amazing! Hopefully franchise mode is close. Hopefully there is a back door for roster mods on consoles. I think custom camera for both gameplay and coach mode would be cool; broadcast view for coach mode. Coach settings for the coach for run/pass ratio, ECT.

I’m not sure if you will see this but I think if you add a type of system in the game where people can make there own rosters in the game would be amazing. For example like nba 2k people make rosters with different people or whole teams of cool teams and people who own 2k can go to the download roster menu and download those rosters or players I think that would be a super cool addition in the game to be playing with Brett farve and having Derrick Henry as your running back I’m super excited though I hope it comes out on PlayStation good luck

You're so close to being everything Madden was supposed to be and then decided it wasn't. You're right on the edge of Ultimate Football Sim. Keep it up! I LOVE this game!! Please put défensive keys, substitutions, and audibles in for coach mode! That would be awesome! QB usually calls audibles, but often it's based on a small sélection of plays set by the coach. So that's my justification for that. Also, a real onside kick option would be cool. On the other hand, if the NFL Took out the onside kick and put your idea in its place, I wouldn't complain. It's a good idea.

COA mode is the only way I ever played Tecmo. Awesome news to here. My stick skills suck too. Definitely want this on switch. Handheld coaching football is my dream.

Should make an option for % of chance that QB calls an audible. Have the option higher or lower if you want to give you QB control or restrict the option. Another option could be that the QB can suggest an audible and you can confirm or deny the play change.

I've always preferred coach mode in Football games. It adds suspense, especially when your down a few and you some how claw it back. Leaving it to just the players, adds that bit of realism to it as well.

No the difficulty settings are ignored during cpu vs cpu games.

I prefer coach mode on my football games. I have been getting that itch scratched with pro strategy football 2022 on steam. Solid game but graphics audio etc leave much to be desired. I was not even aware of your title until I stumbled upon this video today. It is an instant buy for me. Excitedly looking forward to trying it out when I get home.

Great game i have been enjoying it for some weeks now. As a suggestion theres a mobile game called retro bowl where you could get ideas on how to implement trades or drafts to the game and create a franchise mode. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Any plans to expand the ratings system in the future? Like it would be cool to see separate Pass and Run Block ratings, Fumble getting it's own rating instead of being connected to Skill rating, etc.
