Sam talks you through the wiring, the fuel lines and a bit about Canbus to pair the General Motors system with the Land Rover systems. Dave gives you an update on Wombat and the team install some new winches.

Hey Paul. I currently have an '85 Ninety SW and plan on doing probably the same conversion as you 5.3L LS V8 with a 6L80E Trans. Do you have any tips, suggestions, or things to look out for?

@@MattShermanRecording I removed the Deactivate on Demand from the engine and ECU. Also put the Sonnax Zip kit in the 6L80e. Still in the build stage...

Once again a super episode, both informative and pushing the boundaries of whats possible with a Defender. Speaking of which I know that you have installed or are considering installing Cummins powerplants and I wondered whether anyone has ever put a Caterpillar Engine and Drive Train in Defenders? Further, our American cousins are partial to heavy-duty pick ups with what they like to call "dualys -as the name suggests a vehicle with four wheels on the rear axle. I have seen a number of 6 x 6 Landrovers but never one with a dual rear wheel configuration. So, would there be any benefits with such a set up, or would it be deemed unnecessary and inefficient, given the huge range and size of wheels and tyre combinations for Landrovers?
