Everest Base Camp: Helicopters to Start our Trek!

Join Dean Cardinale as we start our trek to Everest Base Camp. After two nights in Kathmandu, seeing sites and preparing for our adventure we start our trek! We leave Kathmandu airport early on helicopters and fly (45 min.) into the Solo Khumbu Valley to the village of Phakding where we assemble our group, meet the local guides, load the yaks and away we go...Our first day we trek a short distance (3 hours) to the village of Monjo. It is important that we get all three helicopters in and the group of 14 guests started to Monjo. The lower river valley is lush as we are deep in the "V shaped" valley as we trek along on our first day. We will go through each day of the trip in upcoming videos.
