@@sueb1881 It was a professor in seminary that made me an Everlast fan. I'd liked the song "What It's Like" since it came out, but one day in class the prof played the song with lyrics printed out and it blew my mind because the message of that song was roughly similar to this. I was sobering up when this CD came out, but before I got sober I was a liar, cheater and a thief! I was going to get drunk and high until I died! But God had other plans for me! I'm very grateful to be clean and sober today
@Deadhammer2183 жыл бұрын
So when you were getting high and fucking people over it was *your* fault, but when you finally sobered up and got your life together it's because of *some god* ? It was because of you. I've been where you have been, meaning getting high all the time (I fortunately was always functional addict, so I worked and I never cheated) and it was my decision to sober up, go to methadone clinic and straighten my life. Give yourself some credit, man. Either way, I am happy that you are clean and you're no longer chasing that dragon, cause if you were one of the people that caught his tail you would be in the ground right now.

@@Deadhammer218 Let me tell you some thing I never believed in a higher power in all my life till one day in 1997 was 22 I robing someone for the ends he pulled out his pistol I already had mine coming up he shot at me 4 times and we were no more than 20 feet apart each shot he fired at me missed, how I do not know his aim was dead center at my chest, I was high on coke and I leveled mine up shot him 7 times 4 struck him in the head the other three hit him in the chest before he hit the ground he was dead, I lead the police on a high speed chase, they shot at me and everything put out road spikes to pop my tires I missed the spikes, I stopped because I wanted to because I knew that in the end it was going to, they drug me out of the car threw the driver side window to the ground felt three guns pressed to the back of my head all I heard was " Breath wrong and your a dead mother fucker" got hand cuffed I sat in Jail for a year the DA was not going to give me a plea bargain wanted to take to trial to give me the death penalty then for some reason they gave me a plea bargain 2nd Degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon, all I had was some court appointed lawyer which we all know will sell you out, well I took the plea I got 35 years then in 1998, then in 1999 I won an appeal and dropped my sentence down to 18 to 24 years, during my time of doing 19 years and 8 months got out in October 5th of 2017, I have been sober for over 20+ years now, so if there is no higher power then I do not know how I got that lucky, there was no luck to it something or someone wanted me to have not a second chance but 4 chances, here it is 2021 I have not drunk a drop of liquor or beer, or any drugs not even weed, I have a roof over my head, I live with my mom and brother but I have a roof over my head, and don't need for anything because my family has me, all I do is ask and they bend over backwards to help me!! If you don't believe any of this here is my name look it up your self, Kevin E. Gioglio do a back ground check then once you do your thing hit me back and we will talk more if you choose ok.
@Deadhammer2183 жыл бұрын
@@thekrazykshow8011 That's crazy story you just told. I hope you'll stay sober and out of trouble, even if we end up disagreing. But if God exists, why he didn't help the man you were trying to rob? He was the innocent one and you took his life. If that man missed and you would have just fled, that would be very lucky situation. But where was god, when your bullets flew towards him? Shouldn't he do it the other way? Protect the innocent, and kill the attacker? If you believe in higher power, than you'll going down to burn, cause you commited a mortal sin - even if that was true, your God is immoral, because infinite punishment for finite crimes is just wrong. And if praying is suppose to erase that, than all the "reformed pedophiles" who killed their victim and are locked in maximum prisons praying their sins away will also enter heaven, yet I, without seriously hurting anyone (I'm 29y old, I never addicted somebody else - some people wanted to try opiates, and I swayed them away) will go to hell to suffer for eternity. That's not justice. Regardless of my transgressions I will burn forever in hell, even if I lived just and honest life because I am an atheist. In your god's eyes a regretful pedophile is better than me. Is that something you agree with? That's something a mafia boss would do - put a gun to your head and say you are gonna pay (pray) me or I will shoot you in the head. I think that you paid your dues to society, and if there were to choose who enters heaven, convicted pedophile who is religious and regretful, or someone of other or no faith, who led good life, raised his children and helped the community?
@markstewart81713 жыл бұрын
@@Deadhammer218 but meanwhile, knew deep down God is real and refused to have faith and believe. Jesus walked with sinners. Life is about molding you and i believe hell will be too. God has the final say on that, me as a christian i know noone is worthy to enter. We all sin and sometimes do very bad things, there's a price to pay for it, karma is one of them.
