So sad now that both of them have left us. This would have been their last tour singing together and they sound great! They were able to maintain their beautiful harmonizes for nearly 50 years! And both were so handsome. May their memories be eternal!

They were the best and they were unique. No one could come close to achieving their sound. I’m glad I was on this planet with them for so many years. I was devastated when Don passed but I envisioned Ike and Phil waiting for him at the pearly gates which helped a little. As long as their music and videos are still played, they’ll never be forgotten. Bless them both for making my life and so many other lives just a little sweeter.

If this was 2005, they were age 66 and 68. Still love their voices and performance. They were sure both blessed with beautiful hair. Thanks for posting.

Good to see Albert Lee still with them after all those years he started playing with them in the 70´s during their solo years.

Thrilled these videos are still being shared! Regarding this one in particular...couldn’t help but notice how far apart the mic’s are. Interesting that they started out with one mic & ended their career, together, but this far apart. Not a big deal of course...just my observation. How lucky this audience was to be there! Thanks boys for some wonderful years 🤗. I treasure your albums to this day!!!

Do you think it was cost of equipment, ease of setting up, in the early years to use one microphone for two performers - was there an acoustic benefit? I understand the Everly Brothers frugal start, beginning so young and the genre so new, went along with what was provided to them. It didn't help that many people they worked with, and their fans, confused the two. I heard Don affirm in an interview they were real brothers with different personalities - for too long it seemed he and his brother shared a room on the road; until the day someone suggested (and the brothers realized they could/should have) separate rooms. Separate microphones seem obvious now.

They have used the "Y" shaped stand since the first reunion tours in '84 I wouldn't read too much into that. Don was in superb voice and shape this tour.
@cak81323 жыл бұрын
It was probably easier for them with that style of microphone stand - especially with the guitars.

It appears every audio/microphone setup has advantages; recently saw a print interview by Phil wherein he mentions (and I'm paraphrasing) two (or more) at one microphone actually allows for more precise harmony.

It's very meaningful to see them singing at the Royal Albert Hall. There's no way to not remember 1983's iconic reunion concert (as written on description). Unfortunaly I wasn't lucky enough to see them personally but they deserve to be remembered for generations (including the ones born after 2000 (my case)) to come. Godspeed Don Everly! Please tell your brother Phil we are missing both of you down here.

So sad all they done how famous and loved they were. That All their beauty inside and out and the voices of angles all that's left of them are a modest stone on a lonely grave yard. A box of ashes in the ground seems like there should be more. I guess that's all we all are on the end. I've seen his grave he pretty close to his daddy. His mother has recently died at 102.

9 years later, Phil was dead. 16 years later, Don was dead. By 2022, every single artist from Rock´n`Rolls first generation had died. Quite sad, thinking about it. However, the reunion in heaven is probably better than any they had on earth.
