Fun to hear Phil sing a song he wrote. He once said Don was the one with the talent but he was a wonderful singer who put his heart and soul into everything he did. Love him speaking German. This is wonderful.

Phil was great either way, he could sing anything. Between him and his brother don, they both have their own distinct voices but when they were togerther singing, it was magic. Love them bothers either way.

Interesting show, we know Phil did this as a favor for his old friend Dean Reed (International Man of Mystery). It is a tv glimpse behind the old German iron curtain here, before the wall fell. On the plus side, Phil’s singing is beautiful on this show and looked like he was having fun with his old friend. Phil’s gorgeous suit rocks (it’s a Nudie suit from the Everly’s Vegas days in the seventies). ❤️

Ein wahrer Schatz dieses Video. Ich wusste nicht, dass Phil in der DDR aufgetreten ist. Sehr sympathisch sein Auftritt! Ich verehre ohnehin die Everly Brothers, beide als Duett unschlagbar, da kam und kommt keiner ran!

Die hätten so stolz auf Dean sein können, dass einer aus der Republik mit Phil Everly befreundet war. Dean hatte Phil dort hin geholt.😊 Da waren wieder nur Lienientreue an Karten ran gekommen. Es war die einzige Gelegeheit gewesen, Phil auch mal live zu sehen😮 aber wie gesagt....da kam kein " normaler " an Karten ran😮 Bei solch besonderen Leuten, hatten die Bonzen immer Angst vor zu grosser Begeisterung.😅😅 Deshalb kamen nur Lienientreue an Karten ran.😅 Dean sah Phil so ähnlich. Sie hätten Brüder sein können.😊

Not really. You obviously don't know much about music or the Everly Brothers. In most all of their songs, when they sang together, Phil was also singing lead WITH Don. Don would sing the "Melody" & Phil would sing the "Counter Melody". For example, in "All I have to Do Is Dream", Phil's entire part is a lead vocal all on it's own. In Cathy's Clown, besides the little solo part by Don, Phil's part is a lead vocal on it's own.

Sorry, aber kein einziger Sänger hat auch nur annähernd so ein Gefühl in der Stimme, wie Phil. Reed ist einfach nur laut. Und er hat eine harte Stimme. Und Phil ist absolut Gentleman.
