Love Phil Everly

Who could possibly think of watching the video when Phil's handsome face is watching. I think Phil gives Don waaay too much credit for being the talented one, not even close to true. Phil's high harmonies were what pulled me into the beautiful ballads and gave me goosebumps and they always gave the songs a fullness they wouldn't have had without him. Don Everly may have painted the room but Phil put the finishing touches on it. Soundtrack of my youth 🎼🖤

I totally agree!! Phil had the toughest job doing the harmonies!! And, he had such a beautiful voice!! It was the high harmonies by Phil that defined the Everly Brothers' sound!!

What a lovely man. Seemed very humble and not affected by his fame. He spoke so highly of Don, praising him above his own talent. Considering this is at a time when they supposedly didn't get along, or even speak to each other, it shows him as so kind and modest. Just lovely.

I think so too ! I love almost everything about Don, but younger brother Phil is rather generous, open-minded n simple than he. Don seems too sensitive, fragile or complicated, n that leads sometimes bad endings. Phil knew about Don than anybody else, n then he loved, respected n took care of him for a long time. Of course Don knows it well n he also loves Phil so much, I suppose. It's funny but thinking of these brothers often makes me feel confused n want to cry. Sorry for long-poor English...

@@mptt883 - Your English is fine, very understandable, and I agree with what you say. I even feel that same sudden impulse to cry when I reflect on the toughness and the vulnerability of the Everly family. Imagine how hard it must have been to do the back-breaking, mind-bending work of mining coal from the darkness of pre-dawn to the darkness of post-sunset. Ike Everly was determined to keep his sons out of the mines and to train them in a skill, guitar-picking and close harmony singing, that would give them a better future. He lived and worked all over the United States, finding jobs wherever he could, always keeping his family together, adequately fed, and mostly under the same roof. And he kept his word. Don and Phil never worked in the coal mines. That alone is a phenomenal feat. They always gave their father credit for what he taught them. They used their training wisely, practiced every day. And when they were the most successful duo in country music and rock 'n roll, when they could fill London's Royal Albert Hall, they brought their father onstage with them and he too received a standing ovation. Th story of the Everly family is unforgettable. And the brothers did love each other very much. Thank you for your comment and congratulations on your growing mastery of the English language.

It´s good to see that there are some rockstars who keep themselves well when they age. Good manners, normal appearance, friendly, no wild clothing styles, sober and clear but still with character. The only thing sticking out with Phil Everly, appearance wise, is his unusual, eye catching and truly awesome hairstyle!
