Proper old school football. I liked it when Keane went in for that heavy challenge; Weir didn't collapse to the ground writhing in "agony". He stood his ground and the ref chatted to them and game on.

Roy Keane was found out that game, if not before. A 'bottler" against real hard men. Man Utd too. Imagine Roy Keane in a pub, or at the after match bar, with Duncan Ferguson and Vinnie Jones. Roy Keane gets "lippy". It ain't no rocket science, what would happen to him.

@alexhiggins45113 жыл бұрын
The irony of Roy Keane's career is, in my opinion, he didn't need to be a thug on the pitch. He could've been remembered for so many other things than that. He could run for days. He had a second to none "engine". He could pass. Not only the simple pass, he could pick out the "killer" pass. He could cross it, pick out the long ball. He was strong, could hold possession on the ball. Had a "welly" of a shot. Tactically sound, Positionally acute. Phenomenal leader. There's no doubt Roy Keane had it all in the locker. Alas, his "over the top" attitude and "lack of care and attention" in combative mode, towards fellow professionals, is what he will be remembered for.
@orlandotrustfullandhiscosm41103 жыл бұрын
@@alexhiggins4511 agreed. He may have had a welly of a shot but he didnt have the best shot accuracy did he? Many games i saw Keane shoot and he hit it into row Z. But not bad if that was his only weakness apart from being a bit of a thug.
