George Seifert got exposed when he went to The Panthers, Bill Walsh handed him the reigns to a championship winning team he had the best owner in the league in Eddie DeBartolo to hold his hand and when Joe Montana got banged up they had Steve Young and aging talent was immediately replaced great talent, Terrell Owen’s & Ricky Watters fell into his lap he got Deion Saunders for a season Still had Jerry Rice playing at an elite level through most of the nineties, Even Steve Mariucci did well with the team with Jeff Garcia until Owen’s left and the talent level dried up.

Funny thing about the 2020 Jaguars is that their week 1 win over the Colts was at home. What's so remarkable about this is that to this day, the Colts haven't won in Jacksonville in over a decade. If it weren't for this "curse", you could argue that the Jaguars were meant to go 0-16

Saying that being a Rams fan in the 2000s after 2004 is a test of patience is an understatment. I was born in 99 and became a conscious NFL fan in 2005 and yea, we sucked, BAD we had one of the worst stretches in NFL history until Mcvay came in. It was rough, man, ROUGH.

You ain't lying. Once the writing was on the wall, i.e. no legitimate effort or interest in improving the team in any way, the frustration and disappointment turned into straight up apathy. Which is exactly what Kroenke wanted. Throw in the condition of the Dome and it's head-scratching contract clause regarding improvements, and that shit was cooked. Regardless, we have a football team that has the best support from fans in their respective league. All without sucking Goodell's teat.

I love this video idea. Most of the worst teams in NFL history, worse then the Browns or Lions 0-16 teams in some cases, still somehow managed a win or two. 1-15 is hard to do given how much talent even bad teams have (case and point some will on purpose jettison that talent to rebuild which helps them slide down in the W/L column). They usually have something else going on that led to the loses, such as bad injuries, bad culture, a significant distraction or series of distractions, a much tougher then expected schedule following a more promising year before, or even crater due to unrealistic expectations thrust upon them.

At least that Browns team had a handful of games where they were competitive in. I remember around 5 games that year they could’ve won but blew them all. They were basically a 5-11 team disguised as an 0-16 team and if them and the 2008 Lions faced off, I’d pick the 2017 Browns to win by at least 20 points. That Lions team was so bad that even other bad teams were blowing them out.

If the browns don’t trade anyone and than draft an oline with the first pick of draft Cleveland could do what the dolphins did in 2008 that year they went 11-5 after going 1-15 in 2007 Browns might do the same next year if they keep all of their talent going from 1-16 to 12-5 in one year

@@jonathanfrimerman8855 I would say the Browns are 4-5 years minimum away from their next postseason appearance.

The answer to the question at the end... ...the Carolina Panthers, who went 1-15 in 2001 and 15-1 in 2015.

The Cowboys also got Miami QB Steve Walsh in the Supplemental Draft in 1989. He was favored over Aikman by his former Hurricanes coach Jimmy Johnson; started 5 games in the '89 Season; and led the Cowboys to that single win against the Redskins. Jones had more faith in Aikman's ability- and Walsh was traded to the Saints 4 games into the 1990 Season.

The Panthers last year went 2-15 so there’s already been a close one to that. The first 0-17 team will be very interesting to compare to other winless teams like the 1976 Buccaneers (even though they were 0-14 but still worth mentioning), 2008 Lions, and 2017 Browns.

What’s really sad about the Dolphins as a Dolphins fan is the only team we beat to go 1-15 was the Ravens, and then our 1 playoff game the following year after that miraculous 11-5 turnaround was a blowout loss to the Ravens 😭

While it doesn't qualify for this video because there were only 14 games, the 1968 Steelers went 2-11-1, fired their coach, drafted a virtual unknown, and turned around to a 1-13 record in 1969. It doesn't look great on paper, but the new coach was Chuck Noll, that unknown draft pick was Mean Joe Greene, that 1-13 record resulted in Terry Bradshaw, those Steelers became a dynasty, and 56 years later that fired coach, Bill Austin, is still the last head coach to be fired by the Steelers.
