WCE injury list the last few years is mind boggling. When the WAFL team has to forfeit because too many of their players have been called up to play AFL to cover injuries, you know there are serious issues. Replacing Millsy isn't the biggest headache for the Swans (Gus Sheldrick ready to go), I suspect the bigger headache will be who to drop to get him back in! xD

Being a Collingwood fan, and seeing some of the work AJ has been doing this pre season, I think he really could break out as a key forward with the ability to score 50+ goals in a season. One thing is in the way of that becoming a reality, and that is his consistency.

You glossed over the biggest, and in my opinion, biggest headache,...Essendon's recruitment of Ben McKay. Now one of the highest paid players in the AFL, who unfortunately (I'm a North follower) makes more mistakes than most other defenders and is not accustomed to winning.....he has one of lowest winning percentages for a player in the history of the VFL/AFL; sitting at 11.97% for his 71 games played. What were Essendon thinking? North Melbourne are sitting pretty after this trade.

No team outside the top 4 is really that consistent all year i don’t see Essendon suddenly doing that unless they improved by a leap and the fall off was off-field related now those issues have been dealt with and wholes on the list as well as depth being filled is very exciting as a dons supporter I recon it has a lot of potential and I hope they keep adding to that depth they’ll only get better over time if they do.

For Hawks, while the full back depth is a concern, for me it's whether Mitch Lewis can finally stay fit. He's capable of a 70 goal season.
