If the ATF and the NFA were to go away, we could have nice things at better prices. Suppressors are insanely high because they are regulated. Imagine a country so corrupt that they tax you and require you to pass a background check for a device that mitigates gun fire to a safe level. In the real world it would be required for safety. My wife likes the PS90, she was a fan of the Stargate series where they used the short barreled version automatic P90. I would consider getting her one but they are expensive and so is the ammo. It's too bad they didn't have it available in 9mm. Granted they would have to use a slightly different configuration but I think they could pull it off if they gave it a try. Comeon FN, make it a 9mm or 45acp, it would be a real competitor in the market.

Not sure if you've looked lately, but 5.7 ammo is about the same price as 5.56. $.45 per round of 40gr FMJ. Even JHP or V-Max stuff is around $.60. It's about as cheap to shoot my SBR'ed PS90 as it is any of my ARs.... and a lot more fun.

The video keeps talking about storing the guns. That is not the same as securing the gun. That is a different thing. If you cannot secure the gun in your truck you will need to take it with you, not always easy or legal. I assume a 'truck gun' is for jobs bigger than your sidearm can handle. And old rugged bolt action rifle in a reasonably discreet rack will work. For legal security take the bolt out and keep it in a small pistol safe secured to the vehicle (A la the movie "Cool hand Luke") If you are in a situation where an assualt rifle is needed you are in a situation you should have first driven out of. Difficult to do both at the same time reguardless of which movies you watch.

Dependa on your area and travelling journey, yes a pistol but that would be your EDC, a cheap reliable shotgun will cover most urban or rural situations. Now some states have different rules about guns andvi people will steal cars, trucks, etc so they need to be legal, reliable and inexpensive. An Rugar 22, Lever/Bolt Action, while not as fancy as ARs but cheap ammo, legal most states and will get you out of trouble. Remember it's a truck gun, in the truck so you need an EDC to get to your truck, Say your in a Mall/Shop, walking down the street, at work etc so it may not be near you! Don't forget First aid tourniquet, ,bottle of water and knife as well plus practice with these items if your playing with guns have the items to patch yourself up in case anything bad happens.

Not happy about the click bait thumbnail. Additionally, the shockwave (or its competitors) is not considered a shotgun or a short barrel shotgun. They fit into the "other" category as a firearm because they do not have a shoulder fired rifle stock and they DO NOT have a pistol grip as the commentary so wrongly names it. They have a bird's head grip, are more than 26 inches in overall length, and are not meant to be shoulder fired, which is the only reason it is federally legal with a 14" barrel. You'd think a "gun" channel would know that.

If worried, on an Ar, use a pistol tube, but your lower must have been submitted as a pistol when you purchased it. You can make a pistol to a rifle, but harder and more paperwork to go from a rifle to a pistol.

Not to mention you will be deaf after just 1 round. While we are at it, ALL shotguns and rifles aren't good truck guns because in practically every state that isn't "Constitutional Carry", a loaded shotgun or rifle is illegal. Even here in PA. Only in Indiana, West Virginia, Texas, Colorado, and Virginia are loaded rifles legal (but VA and CO are only legal if you are hunting).

Here’s a fundamental difference between you and me, I was taught about this argument……..Stand an individual with a handgun extended to shoot. STAND EXACTLY NEXT TO an individual with a SBR or SBS. 🛑 BOTH INDIVIDUALS 🛑 are practically THE SAME LENGTH…..but one has more range and firepower. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I’m a big fan of PCC’s (Pistol Caliber Carbines) and SBR’s wonderful truck guns. All thugs and bad guys ARE USE TO a Glock pointed at them, from cops to other criminals. But not a PCC. I customize mine to look like something out an elite special forces team. So, much so I’m insistently asked questions about it at a range. Try not to blow off SBR’s for a truck gun. If you can scare off a bad guy with the look of the gun, you won half the battle.

@@Daylin821 But you may need to think of the legal aspect. If you are in a shoot out where range and firepower are needed you may need a good lawyer too, if not more. Having a big scary gun may not only intimidate the bad guys but the jury too. But many factors apply where you are and what you may encounter. Everyone has to find what works for them. Define the problem and decide on the tool for the problem. For visual intimidation a 12GA seems to work well. And another factor, can you afford to loose the gun? Because having a gun that is less expensive and easy to replace is nice if you have to go to court where getting your gun back may be an issue. The old definition of a 'truck gun' was an old beater that didn't cost much but was still useful for putting down terminal livestock and dropping a coyote on occasion. Not exactly an urban problem. (though coyotes and black bears are becoming urban too, but shooting in town is iffy on several levels)

One time our agency decided to take away flashlights because some of were not working the night shift, so I bought my own as they didn't understand low light. Plenty of homes and businesses that lose power, or abandoned without it. Luckily a new administration was wiser and issued lights to everyone.
