Love the 6th Sense Cloud 9s and DDs. Lots of options for silent giant crankbaits, and they come with great hooks out of the box (the magnum squarebills are sick). Silence is also why I really like the DTs, though I'm usually fishing 6's or 10's. They don't veer off as much as the deeper divers when you bring them up to the boat in my experience. But I catch fish on DTs in places where basically no other cranks catch fish. For me, they're worth the time and money expended to swap hooks. Besides the subtler action on retrieve, they also float up slower than plastic baits. Great for when you are stopping the retrieve and don't want something to just blast off when you stop reeling.

First of all, awesome video bro. Second, I like to run a composite rod for my smaller shallow running cranks because of fear of straitening out the smaller hooks, and the more parabolic action of the rod helps keep to them pinned, but for my deep cranking I go back to pure graphite for the sensitivity because I don't have to worry about straitening out the more stout hooks that come on the big cranks. Oh, and the garage looks great dude.

6xd, 10xd, Dt10, Dt20 are my go to deep crankbaits if they dont bite one of those i go straight to jigs,10in worms, wobbleheads, shakeyhead, carolina rig, and if that dont work its either the dropshot, neko rig, and ned rig for last resort. Ive caught bass on other brand crankbaits big name companies but the cranks never out performs my XD series i can catch bass on the baits and do good but i always catch more on the 6xd idk why thats the best deep diver in the world imo everyone needs one imo

I’m just starting into deep cranking. I ordered a 6 Sense Lux 7’11’ med-heavy mod and a Abu Garcia Revo Winch 5:4.1 reel i hope that’s not going to be to slow of a gear ratio. One of the main lakes I fish there is a lot of opportunity for deep cranking and I’ve never capitalized on it. That’s going to change this summer and I’m hoping for a new PB by the end of June.

@@bradleysmith3639 dude I can not tell you the times I have dedicated my on the water time to strictly fish and understand crankbaits in deep and shallow water, clear and stained water and everything in between, I have beat the living hell out of some of these baits, slow, fast, semi speeds, different rods, lines and reels, I honestly believe that current has more to do with a successful crankbait outing than any conditions one can think of, it’s not that I haven’t been successful but for all of the investments of time (which far outweighs the monetary investments) I just can not get the bites everyone portrays that crank baits actually do, I believe what I personally have fault with may just be color choice or areas/systems in which a crankbait is a better choice, meaning, I probably need to move to Tennessee 😂😂😂😂
@bradleysmith36393 жыл бұрын
Trust me dude it ain't where you live I live in Louisiana and we're lucky we got two feet of water sometimes it's just easier to do something else I understand your frustration it's like that with worm fishing with me I've learned through the years I'm not an old person I'm just 40 but I have learned listening to other people with they catch and what they did I've learned at least eight or nine times out of 10 they're really just giving you a fish story crankbaits have their time and place just like everything else making something work when it's not supposed to work that hurts your confidence and one thing I have learned you must have confidence in what you do I don't know if you've tried this but I have had some success with this it's the treble hook with the spinner blade on the end you put it in the middle I actually think they think it's another shad or something and they they wind up hitting it more than any other treble hook but in Louisiana our water is usually Brown or you just can't see anything it's good for red fishing but not so good for bass fishing I hope you keep up and keep trying

@@bradleysmith3639 My friend I thank you for the encouragement, I never “give up” on anything and that’s to a fault designed in my DNA graciously passed on to me by my father 😂😂 I have spent years (sometimes a whole week at a time) trying to get a grip on crank baits, every once in a while around this time of year I will pick up some tid bit of information that will ultimately drive me back to trying to figure this technique out, in particular the deep diving baits because to be honest that is where my strength lies within the offshore realm of bass fishing, although, I am becoming more versatile since joining my first bass club and doing quite a bit of shallow water stuff too, not my cup of tea but I do like it. Have no fear my friend, I have not relinquished my fight with my nemesis, I have merely put it aside until another opportunity presents itself, I’ll be back out there with new arsenal, strategic planning coupled with the patience of Jobe for those days of learning on how to beat this foe of mine, until then, tight lines buddy, best of luck and always be safe out there but most of all, I hope you have fun !!!

Most of them are the 25.5 ft diversbut I havesome 17.7 as well. How do you feel about this crankbait?
