I have a question related to curriculum that for subjects like pharmacology do you need any prior knowledge of chemistry especially organic chemistry or these would be taught in the course

Hi there! In New Zealand, nursing schools will teach you content under the assumption that you have no-little prior knowledge about the topic, so they will start from the very basics to make sure everyone understands!

Thanks for the amazing videos! Just a question before I start my studies, are most of the American resources ok to use/reference for studying nursing in NZ?

Thanks for supporting my channel! I found using the American resources absolutely fine, though when it came to pharmacology I always made sure to have the NZ Formulary and Pharmac open so I could see if it we had the same medications here and if they were called the same things. Same goes with measurements (eg: Fahrenheit to Celsius, diabetes measurements) I just double checked I was using the NZ measurements instead of US. Apart from that, the American resources were great to use! Congrats on starting your nursing journey!
