Its because literally 10% of the roster nullifies the other 90% and since people play to win/ will naturally pick those strong characters since they like them, it forces people to stick to certain characters so they dont get cheaped out. Its the fault of the developers.

Forgot sword type characters and how alot of them have unblockable ki blasts. Good video though I didn't know about the god archetype or ui goku being secret

Types are: Normal, Power, Speed, Ki-Blast, Almighty, Ki Drain Android (Normal), Ki Drain Android (Power), Infinite Ki Android (Normal), Infinite Ki Android (Power), Infinite Ki Android (Ki-Blast), Super Saiyan, Fusion, God, Secret, Rival, Villain, Legendary Super Saiyan, Giant, Skill-User, Skill-User (Yajirobe). Anything else doesn't affect your stats and is just for show. What your attacks looks like and what ki blasts you have is unrelated to the archetype. The archetype just determined how the game scales your base stats.

Villians have more damage but also all have unique specific unshared movesets. With modified combo damage scaling being a little lower. But having higher base stats overall betting waymore.

@swankyjee Yup. Long post ahead if ur interested in the info I'll explain it All "villian" class characters are SSJ + stats for whatever DP tier they're in. As an example. Dabura. Atk: (graph) Is a 6/10. Def: 6/10 Ki blast (small 1s): ki blast 6/10 Health: 6/10 Super Ki blasts 8/10 All 6 dp ssj's have modifiers of 6/10 for most stats. Maybe 1 will be 5/10. Or slightly higher hp or combo. The benefit though is Dabura dosent have any transformation downside. the HIGHEST super blast modifier for 6dp characters. And his moveset gives access to a sword halfway through it. Giving higher chip damage when enemies are blocking. (All sword users have this) The villiabs are Z frieza, meta cooler, zamasu (fused), perfect cell. Super buu, unfused zamasu. All have unique special benefits that other categories don't. And often have MULTIPLE benefits like a hybrid. Without sacrificing as usual. As an example, zamasu (unfused, and fused) both have unique sword ki blasts, a (Ki) class, and normal class, ontop of villian. Meaning he's got the normal class modifier (like early goku) Aka, decent speed, ok atk/defencd) normal class = decent all around. No negative. Normal ki consumption. But then ontop of this, he has a ki class. Which means Ki blasts cost 20% less. And you can shoot alot. Also makes the ki blast spam do more damage, and the "ki" class has the highest combo damage in the game. And easiest time doing it since thier spammable ki blast costs less, and counts towards it. Then ontop of of this. He has a SPEED class as well. Giving him access to hyper movement, and super movement speed categories. So essentially he's categories as. Villian. Ki blast. Normal (for all stats) then boosted by other classes. Speed. Other classes will have 1. So as an example. Turles has just 1. It's "ki". But because he dosent have "normal" as well as a subclass for stats/movement. It means his atk and def will be very low. But ki stats high. Zamasu is crazy because he has normal as a base. So free stats. Plus the benefit of all the other classes he has. In general. Villians are really OP class wise. But typically are limited in someway Like Corrupted zamasu swaps out his speed sub class for a "power" subclass. But keeps his "normal" and "ki" subclass. Making him the fastest power class in the game. But he sacrifices that reduction in dashing, drsgon dashing, vanishing, ect for the power class benefits which are (slower attacks) More damage. Dashing/rushing costs more.

I'm willing to bet UI Goku is "Secret" because the original name for Ultra Instinct, Migatte no Gokui, translates to "Selfish Secret." So "Secret" class basically just means "Ultra Instinct" class.

I kinda wish they put Whis in that category. Angels aren't the same as gods and they instinctively (heh) have ultra instinct. Also, not that we're gonna get it but if a miracle happened and we could get late Super manga arcs (Moro/Granolah). Having UI Goku and Whis be Secret and Ultra Ego Vegeta and Beerus be gods would be kinda metal. Would make less sense for Vegeta but eh.

Videl is a weird case because she has the downsides of a speed character but non of the benefits. They should just make her a speed archetype. Also she charges slower than normal.

Android 13 is another insanely good Power type Android. More stats than android 16. More hp, atk, defence is 1267. So he's tanky. He has 7 DP cost so he staggers super armor. Ect

Looks like there’s a Legendary Super Saiyan Archetype too!(Exclusive to the Brolys and Kale). But ssj1-4, ssjg, and ssjb all register as just Super Saiyan Archetype. Except for Bulky Trunks who is a Power Archetype, unlike Super Vegeta who’s just Super Saiyan.

Well arent hyper armor characters an extension of power types? And sword wielders have their own thing where they deal most of the combo damage in the first two hits and have unblockable charged ki blasts. All in all you had a very succinct video many archetypes for which i didnt know about.
