I have to say that my favorite Absolute is Hush. That was my first one (granted, I don't have very many), but with Jim Lee's art, I was sold, before even reading the story. After reading it, I loved the story. It was a fun mystery that tied so many of the rogues gallery together which was so exciting to see, especially with Jim Lee's pencils. Still is my favorite Batman story.

I also love Court of Owls (I can’t recall if Night of Owls is in there as well (another that I have in multiple formats). And of course you have to love the Loeb and Sale trilogy.

I love absolute Planatary! And it technically has a Batman story in it so it counts! Did you know originally it was two separate absolutes? When they remade it, they made it one giant absolute.

I'm very pleased that you liked "Three Jokers", and a story that some liked and others instead expected more, but I agree with you that it should be read more carefully, it could be re-evaluated over time, for example In any case, I liked it as a story, and Fabok's drawings are superlative. For the moment, the absolute edition hasn't been released in Italy, but I'm sure it will arrive.

I hate how the only way to read Dark Knight Returns is either a small paperback, 4 thin hardcovers, or an absolute with a terrible story attached to it. I really dislike thin hardcovers and don't want to pay extra for a bunch of stuff I won't read or look at. Would be kinda cool if they put Year One and DNR in 1 bundle or book.

My favorite story here is in absolute form is definitely Year One, but the my favorite absolute is probably Dark Knight. I don’t care much for the additional coloring in Year One after flipping through both books at my LCS. I’m waiting on a reprint of that deluxe edition to replace my old trade from my youth. For the money, Dark Knight is a better absolute purchase to me. Dark Knight is definitely top 5 DC comics of all time to me, and I do like DKSA. I’m sorry! As a child of the late 90s and early 2000s the art (clearly intentionally) reminds me of those really shitty old websites and flash games I used to go on back in the day. Additionally, I don’t want to excuse some of Frank Miller’s problematic content but we all forget that the guy literally looked out his window of his office in NY and saw 9/11 happening in his street. He saw and knew plenty of people that lost their lives. To say he “lost his mind” as a result of an unbelievably traumatic event that many of us have never even come close to experiencing just seems kinda harsh. He also clearly went through a private battle with cancer not too long ago, and denounced some of the offensive themes in his older work (holy terror….). Just my opinion though. Great series Jake! Love you guys and am looking forward to the “every absolute of all time ranked” video lol!

DK3 from what I’ve read at least was decent it’s way better than Dark knight Strikes Again but still no where near as good as the first one. My main gripe with the story is the main villain is just slightly bland he’s just kind of comes from Kandor and thinks yeah I want to destroy the world now it’s just lazy writing

I appreciate the feedback! Haha, this is actually my highest-quality mic. I use it for live streams and podcasts at my desk, and when we film, we plug the camera into the XLR adapter so I can just rotate the mic as needed without moving the mount. I’m sure there are better setups, and it’d be nice to have separate mics for filming vs. podcasts someday, but I’m happy with the quality for now. Plus, I kinda enjoy the look-makes me feel like an old-timey news broadcaster!
