Another month of reading gone by. Hope your month was great. Let me know your thoughts on any of the books in this video. Also share your favourite September reads.

I have been keeping my eyes open for "Gwendy's Button Box" only because I have most of Stephen's books. I did not know it was a trilogy, and based on your thoughts, I don't feel like I am missing out too much! I will still pick it up if I find it cheap, but otherwise I can pass. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!🙂

I managed to find all 3 Gwendy books on the same day at the library, which is the only reason I read them all together. Many readers have enjoyed them more than I did.

The only one of these I have read is Then She Was Gone. That ending! I too have a ridiculous amount of series on the go - I am reading/rereading the Miss Marple series at the moment. That is the main one I'm focusing on. I couldn't hear the storm in the background.

I'm glad the storm didn't come through. It was quite loud for a while there. I really need to read all the Marple books, but I'm hesitant to start until I clear other series first. Oh, the troubles of a book worm! 🐛

I haven't read Rachel Hawkins and keep wanting to but I'm not confident I will love her stuff. I have a nostalgic fondness for VC Andrews. I grew up reading those (says a lot about what we had available lol). Listen for the Lie was a mess. Completely agree about the tone - and it felt like YA drama. I'm reading Then She Was Gone this month (or hope to!). First Lie Wins - same on my end! I hated it!! One Perfect Couple was fun, but definitely not Ruth Ware's strongest or even close.

There's something about Virginia Andrews that appeals to me. It's definitely the Gothic feel of this series, but I think she had a skill for turning the melodramatic into just the everyday. I hope you like Then She Was Gone. I think you will.

@@TheHonestBookReviewer She was unique, and I love that. The ones ghostwritten don't really do it justice.

I've not read the ghostwritten books yet but I plan to. It's a task I've set myself
