It's not autotuned. The slightly off tone you hear is the layering of his voice. Since he sounds pretty much exactly the same every layer he records, it sounds a bit odd. It's unavoidable when you're a one-act.

Auto-tune would have taken that little wrinkle right out. i'm sure there's more proof as well, cause that literally was the first one I found within the first 3 seconds of looking for it.

That's barbershop for you. Barbershop tenors tend to sit around E-B(above the staff). This one is higher than the typical tenor part, but it's not out of the range of most barbershop tenors.

Well man I have to say that I just can't feel the passion in your solos... You have a very technically perfect voice- which is why your H&S Imo Heap video is so popular. That has so many tracks that each individual track doesn't need to exude emotion in order for the emotion of the piece to be noticed. This video however just... I don't feel the emotion from the soloist voice at all. It seems like every voice was pre-programmed by midi track. Which is fine for backing tracks. But there's basically no swelling in volume during a phrase, which is a really basic technique. Not to mention you don't fluctuate your tone much or do anything particularly interesting emphasizing words or syllables... do you sing at college with a piano accompanist? I'd imagine it doesn't sound so flat when you do that. The other thing is that it really takes away from the pace of this kind of piece when you have all the voices sing what the solo sings as often as you do. There are parts where the song is trying to run away with emotion and it gets stuck in these staccato trenches as all the parts sing the words with the soloist. Anyway that's my critique I hope it helps :)
