@Feather1916 It is intended to be just that. Sting, the writer and lead of The Police, has said as much several times. One couple told me 'Oh we love that song; it was the main song played at our wedding!' I thought, 'Well, good luck'. I think the song is very, very sinister and ugly and people have actually misinterpreted it as being a gentle little love song, when it's quite the opposite. -Sting

It's crazy how people call rappers singers... how can they miss the huge difference iun technique ad expression, how can't they distinguish a random dude talking about imaginary ghettoes, and a person that has a musical instrument in his throat?

dario il diario i mean her voice and this song are phenomenal, don’t get me wrong but there have always been people with beautiful voices and there are already hundreds of songs just like this one...If musicians are to continue to push boundaries and find new frontiers, electronic music is where the future lies. A musicians talent extends far beyond the quality of their voice.

Just because it's live doesn't mean the audio files can't be edited. This isn't 1965 anymore. In fact I bet they put some serious fucking work mixing and mastering this live concert and every individual audio file to sound just as beautiful as it does. Furthermore I wouldn't be surprised if a bit of pitch correction was used here and there tastefully. Just because you're ears don't pick it up doesn't mean it's not there.

Sebastiaan Rabet dude, regardless of race you’re confusing the pre-packaged vocal licks with real talent. This vocal arrangement was infused perfectly with the music - not the other way around - which is what happens with the Industrial music complex. There’s no doubt she could do amazing, yet soulless, vocal calisthenics with those pipes but she was perfectly restrained. No, the whole arrangement is top shelf. I do get your point, though. I’m sick of pre-packaged vocal licks....the same old licks singers from all walks try to emulate.

Sounds like a normal infatuation. When you dont take it literally.. music, as intended, is by definition a form of art, and thus exadurated. Among normal humans anyway.

@Iris King As bereft of nuance as you appear to be ,I dont think you need worry about it... But if it concerns you lots of good therapy is available these days.. also notice that these ideas predate rock ' music' , metal and psychedelic drugs..
@marcgrundfest1495
@marcgrundfest1495 5 жыл бұрын
@Iris King I really think you should get checked ... your lack of understanding of linguistic nuance is typical of the spectrum... meanwhile art did not originate with rock..nor can it be said that rock is an art ,let alone subtle one. Now suppose you pretend to understand the concept of hyperbole. Now you could also understand that ' every ' does not mean every.. and that this is not a literal statement, but a lyrical one. Perhaps at some point you actually went to a school where they taught you say, English literature.. perhaps you even read a few of the romantic poets.. The truly hilarious thing is that the prime reason this song is often 'misinterpreted' is that its author was likely also neural atypical and thus could not conceive that lyrics are themselves generally considered in the context of poetic expression, not literalism. But no matter..gone are the days when it's ok for autistics define normality. Get checked ...it will help you socially..

I have only now, watching this video, realised the true potential of PMJ. For years, possibly decades, the music industry has had a serious problem - amazing singers go unrecognised because it's all about image and marketing. Voice becomes secondary to racy music videos and coming over 'cool' to a younger and increasingly jaded demographic. Incredible singers like Jaclyn here would never get their big break, the whole industry infatuated with the artificial, and in the last 10 years or so your only hope to making it big was selling your soul somewhere like the X-Factor. PMJ as a brand has the power to change all that. Nothing artificial, pure excellence. So long as PMJ can continue to grow while maintaining a reputation for amazing performances like this one, it can become an absolute industry force, highlighting pure talent above all else. Exposing artists like Jaclyn to the world through the power of the internet. The traditional corporate music industry and 'chart music' has been dying for years now, the only question was what would finish it off and replace it. PMJ has the power to be that, the revival of REAL music. How exciting! If anyone at PMJ HQ sees this make sure you understand what you have the potential to become, and as a consequence, NEVER let any corporate entity start muscling in on you. You are the future.

One of the highlights of my live music experiences was seeing this show live in Vegas during the short run that they had with the residency there. Make no mistake - as absolutely amazing as this performance is, it was one of the least exciting parts of the show, and still got two standing ovations during the song. That's how good the rest of this show was.

So much like this version sung by Ms. McSpadden over the studio version. Wow, one of the most beautiful voices to come to PMJ in a long time! Top five video this year from PMJ.

The only negative thing about this arrangement is that the audience doesn’t understand what they just witnessed. Unadulterated magic at its finest. This woman cannot be beaten. Period. Throw out the garbage singers we have popularised today and replace them all with Jaclyn.

Thank you!!!! I would have been shouting when she hit that high note the first time and would have continued standing and shouting until the end…when she does it again! Stunning performance

¡Wow! Muchas Gracias!
